Of course, the pistol may have had an after market or modified trigger. Who knows? If a child could fire it while holstered, it would make sense that it could also get caught on something during normal daily operations and fire. Something doesn't seem quite right about this story. <br /><br />Yes, a 1911 or an XD or any number of other pistols would have prevented this accident. :)<br /><br />I own a Glock 22. I wouldn't modify the trigger in any way and I wouldn't carry it in any holster that allowed the trigger to be exposed.
