  1. From the linked article:

By examining environmental requirements in conjunction with our civil rights laws. I’m confident that we can do a better job of ensuring fairness, advancing justice and making certain that the most vulnerable among us are not left out, left behind, and left to suffer disproportionately,” Holder added.

Now exactly how does that affect abortion? I'd call being chopped up in your mother's womb pretty "left out, left behind, and left to suffer disproportionately.

  2. I'm pretty sure that Holder and his ilk see abortion as nothing more than a procedure to remove an inconvenient medical condition, a procedure similar to lancing a boil or removing a splinter.

I love the way that the pro-abortionist "right to choose" crowd always throw the "rape, incest, health of the mother" qualifiers into their abortion justifications. In fact, that portion of their message is usually spoken so loudly and forcefully that no one looks any further at the issue. Wow! would you want to carry a baby conceived through rape or incest? The recipients of their message are left with the impression that those pregnancies make up a much larger portion of the total than, in reality, they do.

The fact still remains that less than 2% of all pregnancies are the result of rape or incest and (considerably) less than 3% of all abortions are performed on women whose health is at risk due to their pregnancy or are pregnant as a result of rape or incest.

Abortion is simply a form of birth control to terminate, violently, an inconvenient pregnancy.

The same people who so forcefully promote abortion rights fail to explain the emotional and physical distress that may result after a woman has an abortion. They also fail to explain that many others besides the woman involved will also feel this distress at some point in their lives.

The answer to abortion truly is individual responsibility. If you don't want to have the (lifelong)responsibility for a child, don't allow yourself to become pregnant. If you do become pregnant and don't want to be, place the child for adoption. And always remember when considering abortion that you wouldn't have this problem if your mother had aborted you. (sarcasm)

    Rant off.
