Imagine.... obama claims that he wasn't informed about "Fast and Furious", "Project Gun Runner", "Project Gun Walker", whatever you prefer to call it....
"It's a big government with lots of moving parts", says obama.
Anyone who believes that obama didn't know is just plain stupid. No more, no less. Stupid. obama knew. So did Holder. An operation of this magnitude, with it's potentially devastating consequences, is not implemented without approval from the very top.
Everyone in the Chain of Command knew about it. They had to or it couldn't have happened. All the way from obama (and perhaps even Bush the Second before him) down to the SAC in the Phoenix office. To believe anything else is just not logical. It would mean that there are loose cannons running around out there with enough power and authority to make something like this happen without his or her superiors, including the POTUS, knowing about it. I mean, geez, the United States was providing weapons to the enemies of one of our closest allies and our neighbor on our own southern border.
Mexico is at war with the drug cartels and the government of the United States did provide weapons to those cartels. It doesn't get much simpler nor more disgusting than that. I can't even imagine any reasonable justification for allowing something like this to transpire.
It makes about as much sense as allowing your 3 year old to play in the living room with a gallon of gasoline and a book of matches. Something bad is bound to happen.
In my humble opinion, "Fast and Furious" fit obama's agenda. He can't implement his long term plans until Americans have been disarmed. This was supposed to be the catalyst to make that happen....
OOPS! No one planned on any American LEOs getting killed with the weapons that were allowed to cross the border into the hands of the enemy. No one planned on word of the project leaking out. No one planned on Mike Vanderboegh and David Codrea chasing the story as tenaciously as they did. No one planned on the blogosphere picking the story up and running with it day in and day out. No one planned on Chuck Grassley getting involved. Piss poor planning. Failure to respect Murphy's Law.... It'll screw you every time :)
They didn't even have a plausible cover story to fall back on in case something went wrong. That's just plain arrogant. Or stupid. Their only response so far has been to stonewall Senator Grassley and the others trying to investigate this situation and to offer weak, non-commital responses to the questions being asked.
obama appears to believe that he can lie his way out of anything. The Moonbats believe everything he says, even when they know that they are being lied to.
Melson will be the sacrificial lamb. Traver will be in at BATFE. See how slick that works? Even their damage control is dirty. Know what I think? I think they have pushed it too far to care all that much about damage control.
It's going to be interesting to watch the dance now that the heat is being turned up in the ballroom.
Do you suppose anyone from the MSM will question obama on this? I mean, you know, seriously question him? It is their responsibility to do it, you know. I'm going to say "no", no one will seriously question obama on this. Why? Because obama owns the media. The media is still Liberal, it is still biased, and the media still loves the first (somewhere between 1/16th and 1/4, no one knows for sure) black man to be elected POTUS.
What's your opinion on all of this "Fast and Furious" business, or on anything else, for that matter?
Stay safe.
I would say it a little differently, Blue. I'd say Soros owns the media and Soros owns Obama.
ReplyDeleteI think we all need to contact our Reps/Senators and let them know that we want them to join Grassley--at least in demanding some answers. "Sorry I didn't know...the government is really big," is not an answer. We ought to at least be as tenacious on this as the Left was on Iran-Contra.
ReplyDeleteJim, but obama is the "front man", so he gets the blame.... (or puppet, i guess)
ReplyDeleteJustin, I write Grassley (my Senator) at least once a month on this and other things. I've always thought him to be a pretty good guy. Tom Harkin is my other Senator. He and I don't agree on a lot of things but I write him regularly also, as well as my congresscritters. I think it's important for them to know how we feel....
