9-11....

I told myself that I wasn't going to do a 9-11 post.

Yes, I remember exactly where I was at when the first plane hit.  My wife called me at work.  I was preparing to conduct the morning production meeting....  I told her to leave the television on because there would be more attacks.  I suspected they'd be in L.A. or Chicago.  Got that wrong, didn't I?

I was pissed at Bill Clinton.

Why Bill Clinton?  Because I was (and still am) convinced that had he taken some significant action after the first WTC bombing in '93, or after the bombing of the U.S. military headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in '95, or after the bombing of the Khobar Towers complex in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia in '96, or after the bombings of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in '98, or after the bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen in October of 2000, these "terrorists" wouldn't have bombed the WTC on 9-11.  They would have "known better".    Hey, it's what I believed at the time.

Clinton was the target of my anger though, in all honesty, because of the way he fucked over the troops he sent into Mogadishu, Somalia in October of '93 and then abandoned when the shit got deep.   He promised them that if TSHTF while they were on the ground that he would bring the full force and power of the US Military to bear in their support.  The instant those troops were in Mogadishu the operation became an international political hot potato and they were abandoned by the president to fend for themselves.  That is, in my opinion, unforgivable.  If you can't trust the CinC in wartime, who can you trust?

The fact remains that 19 muslims hijacked 4 airliners and crashed them into the WTC, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania, killing a total of 2.992 people.  A lot of others have died since then in the "War on Terror" and because of illnesses caused by working at Ground Zero.  We now kiss the ass of the muslims.  Weird, eh?  They wronged us yet we kiss their asses.  Anything wrong with this picture?

At least Bush II had brass enough to do something about it.  It is my opinion that the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are both justified, though I'll admit that if Bush I had taken Saddam out in his war, there probably wouldn't have been a need for the current war in Iraq.

The wars went on for awhile then became politicized.  Everything is done on the orders of politicians to achieve political ends.  The hands of the military have been tied.  We should have been done with both wars 5 years ago.  We have allowed "politically correct" politicians to create rules of engagement that put our soldiers at risk and prolong the conflicts.  You have to ask yourself why?  Why do we do that?  You know the answer.  We did the same thing in Viet Nam, eventually packing up and leaving, just like we'll eventually do in Iraq and Afghanistan.  We'll do it when it's politically expedient.  We no longer finish what we start.

Turn the fuckin' sand to glass and be done with it.  The next time someone screws with us, do the same to them.  It wouldn't be long before folks stopped screwing with us.

Since 9-11 the 4th amendment has been thrown out the window and we do nothing about it.  There are constant calls for assaults on the 2nd.  The 1st will be the next to go.  We have a thin skinned corrupt 1/4 black man pretending to be POTUS and he can't handle the heat.  He is failing.  He is a criminal and most of his administration are criminals.  We all know it, yet we do nothing to stop it.  All of the political class are criminal, either directly through participation, or indirectly for allowing it to continue.  Every single one of them.  It has been a very long time since the government represented and carried out the wishes of the people.  Why is that?  It's simple.  Free stuff.  Think about that.

We are so overwhelmed with the corruption and criminality at all levels of government that we don't know where to start correcting it.  We can't (or won't) even agree on what the problems are.

What does this rant have to do with 9-11?  September 11th, 2001 was the day that the criminals started in earnest to enslave us.  All of us.  It was the impetus for them to get moving.  It was the crisis not to be wasted.  It was the beginning of the end for the America we were born in and grew up in.

We have spent hundreds of billions of dollars on DHS.  Where has that gotten us?  Are we more secure today than before the Patriot Act?  How many terrorist plots has DHS uncovered?  How many bombings or hijackings has TSA foiled?  How corrupt is Holder and his DOJ?

The only substantial thing that the creation of DHS and it's subsidiaries has done is increase government employment.  Your president wants even more.

We are soooo screwed.

I recommend that y'all head on over to Brock's blog and read this post.  Read it all.  It's good.

That's all I have today.

Stay safe.

  2. That morning, I took Dixie to Camp Pendleton's San Onofre school. As I approached, there were teachers waiting to to say that there would be no school. When I asked and was told why, I immediately said "I just complained to the MPs a few days ago about waving the large construction trucks through the gate without checking the interiors." Needless to say, they did after 9/11. And as fate would have it, I had to drive through base and go out the Fallbrook exit and return later that day. Man, did that take forever.
