From David P. ...
A Wolf, meeting with a Lamb astray from the fold, resolved not to lay violent hands on him, but to find some plea to justify to the Lamb the Wolf's right to eat him.
He thus addressed him: "Sirrah, last year you grossly insulted me."
"Indeed," bleated the Lamb in a mournful tone of voice, "I was not then born."
Then said the Wolf, "You feed in my pasture."
"No, good sir," replied the Lamb, "I have not yet tasted grass."
Again said the Wolf, "You drink of my well."
"No," exclaimed the Lamb, "I never yet drank water, for as yet my mother's milk is both food and drink to me."
Upon which the Wolf seized him and ate him up, saying, "Well! I won't remain supperless, even though you refute every one of my imputations."
The tyrant will always find a pretext for his tyranny.

They violated the rules.
The Four Rules
1. ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.
2. NEVER POINT YOUR MUZZLE AT SOMETHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO DESTROY.
3. KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET AND YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.
4. KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT'S BEYOND.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~NYPD Gunfire In Empire State Building Shooting Wounded All Nine Bystanders, Says Ray Kelly
New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said all nine bystanders wounded in Friday's Empire State Building shooting had been hit with police gunfire, CNN reported Saturday morning.
According to Kelly, of the nine wounded, three suffered gunshot wounds and six were hit by fragments.
Crazy...
Next topic: The CU Electoral College Model has been correct in determining the outcome of every presidential election since 1980. They are predicting Romney over obama by more than 100 electoral votes. A bit presumptuous, if you ask me, considering that Romney hasn't even been nominated yet.
Romney is almost as scary as obama.
20 years ago...
This is in our local paper today. The Weavers went to school in my little town. Same school that I went to, actually. Read comment #1 and #2... They're everywhere, I guess. (referring to comment #2)
KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) — When Sara Weaver saw her father Randy struck in the shoulder by a government sniper’s bullet in the Idaho wilderness in August 1992, she began to sprint back to the family’s cabin on a mountaintop called Ruby Ridge.
As the 16-year-old closed in, her mother, Vicki, opened the cabin door and stood behind it, holding Sara Weaver’s 10-month-old sister in her arms. Just then, a sniper’s bullet struck her mother in the head, killing her.
For the next nine days, the surviving Weavers holed up in the cabin while hundreds of federal agents laid siege in a standoff that helped spark an anti-government patriot movement that grew to include the Oklahoma City bombing.
Today, 20 years later, Sara Weaver has left the anger behind, finding religion — and forgiveness.
Mediacom sucks, part deux...
Yes, the home computer is down due to the fact that we had a bit of a storm Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Yes, the cable connector pulled out of the box at the pole again. It's a 5 minute repair when you have the part and the ability to get to the box. (Boom truck) The same thing happened a year or so ago. It took 6 days to get it fixed then. The storm was very localized and a falling branch caused the damage. It only affects my house. They made an "appointment" for next Monday to fix it.
Mediacom is the sorriest excuse for a business that I have ever had the misfortune of experiencing. They are also the only cable operator in my little town.
We'll see how it goes. Perhaps they will find the time to fix it before Monday.
Have I ever mentioned that Mediacom sucks?
Ammo...
Lots of ammo. I wonder how much ammo they use in a year?
DHS To Purchase Another 750 Million Rounds Of Ammo
NOAA, too?
I wonder what would happen if American ammo manufacturers, all American ammo manufacturers, refused to bid on these requests? What would the fedgov do then? Look for foreign suppliers? Take over the American manufacturers? Have the courts order the manufacturers to give a quote?
The manufacturers won't refuse, of course. We're talking about money here. Big money. And those manufacturers want their chance to get some of that money.
They want that money even if there was a possibility that the ammo would be used against, dare I say it... Americans? Of course, we have no idea why the DHS would want that much ammo. If they really want it at all.
Do you see the irony in the fact that our tax dollars are paying for the ammo they will buy?
And we all know that there is no way that our government would turn their guns on us. Ever.
Just sayin'
Someone is screaming...
"They want to end Medicare as we know it. They want to cut Social Security on the backs of seniors. They want to raise taxes on the middle class so that they can give bigger tax breaks to the rich. They will cut funding for education. He's part of the Radical Right and will cater to the Tea Party. They'll cut Medicade. They want to take us back to 1890."
They are screaming. They are all saying the same thing. So much so that one would think it was scripted.
The Left is going berserk! I think that they are scared to death of Paul Ryan. I'm loving this.
The quote from this morning's announcement that surprised me most? The one from Rachel Maddow...
"Paul Ryan is the one VP pick who can unite Liberal and Conservative America"
Who-da thunk?
As expected, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi were shitting all over themselves. Elizabeth Warren and Debbie Wasserman Schultz were sounding typically stupid. And screaming.
I'm not a Romney fan. Never have been. I have to give him credit on this decision, though. It's a good one. Ryan could be a game changer. He can articulate the conservative point of view with facts and figures and without hyperbole. All the Liberals can do is repeat unfounded talking points in rebuttal. This could get interesting.
Tis the season...
Election season. Truths and half-truths. Sometimes an outright lie or two. Is anyone keeping score? Does anyone know which are lies, half-truths, and truths? Does it matter? Does anyone care? LOL.
Both sides do it. Why? Because they can. Because the American people are stupid. Because it works for the politicians. It's what we're used to. It's what we expect. It's what we allow.
We don't set our standards very high when we elect the people who will control every facet of our lives.
Perhaps electoral politics is so far out of our control that our desires mean nothing? Perhaps our votes mean nothing? I have a difficult time grasping the fact that there are so many stupid people in America.
Is it really possible that a few rich Globalists pull all the strings? That they run America from "behind the curtain"? ;)
I don't remember people having so much disrespect for each other when I was growing up. The disrespect occurs on so many levels. It's everywhere.
I wonder if it makes them feel dirty? The politicians. I wonder if they feel dirty when they go to bed at night thinking of all the lies they told, the people they screwed, the promises they made with no intention of keeping?
Oust obama. Oust all of the lying dirt bags. Start over. Pay attention this time. It's probably our last chance.
Have a nice day. :)
Stay safe.
obama...
Ya know, if obama were a conservative Republican honoring his oath to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies, if he was working to rebuild America the way the Founders envisioned America, if he treated all Americans with the respect they deserve, if he wasn't a racist, if he wasn't pushing us toward Socialism, if he didn't want to take what I have worked so very hard for and give it to those who haven't earned it, I could get behind him 100%.
But that isn't obama. It isn't who he is or what he does.
I can't get behind him. I can't support the man or his policies. In my eyes he is the embodiment of something evil.
We still don't know who he is. Never before has an American President kept so many secrets about himself and his life. Never before have the American people been willing to accept that in a President. He is a stranger. Think about that.
For 8 years we listened every day to Liberals bash President Bush and his policies. They spewed their hatred every day in every way they could. Now that they have the President they dreamed of, they continue to spew their hatred toward those who disagree in any way with them. Liberals are hateful people. Hatefulness is a way of life for them. Liberalism is a mental disorder.
I don't doubt that obama was born in Hawaii. I don't doubt that his mother is Stanley Ann Dunham. I don't know why all of the records pertaining to his college education are sealed. I'd be more interested in knowing what is in those records than in seeing Romney's tax returns. I'd like to know where obama has been, what his passport looks like, who he has associated with... I'd like to know about his Selective Service registration. I'd like to know the truth behind his Social Security number(s). I am amongst a minority in this regard. Most people don't care. Liberals and Conservatives alike. Why does no one care about the past life and background of the President of the United States? Why does no one care about the things that have made him who he is?
I don't believe that obama is eligible to President because I do not believe that he meets the definition of Natural Born Citizen as it was taught to me and everyone else in the 1960s. "A child born on American soil of an American citizen father and an American citizen mother." Totally logical.
Attention Republicans: Marco Rubio doesn't qualify either.
Of course it is possible that Barack Obama Senior isn't obama's father. I suppose it's possible that Frank Marshall Davis is obama's real father. That would change everything, wouldn't it...? That would make obama a natural born citizen, solving one huge controversy surrounding the man. It would, of course, create another set of problems for obama, FMD having been an ardent Communist and all. And Stanley Ann having been a Communist. And Stanley Ann's parents having been Communists. Of course, that's all "crazy talk". ;)
There is a lot that we don't know about our current President. Things that we are entitled to know but probably never will.
It certainly says something about the intelligence of the electorate in America.
McCarthy was right and deserves an apology from all of those who called him crazy and paranoid.
Ahhhh well, vote obama out in November and all of the mystery surrounding the man will be quickly swept into the dust bin of history. Everything about him will soon be forgotten. Everything other than the fact that he was America's first obviously multi-racial President. That's about the only thing regarding his Presidency that could be considered a good thing.
I'm not sure that Romney, or any other current politician for that matter, is any better. American politics today are, first and foremost, about keeping the Political Class in power. Nothing more, nothing less. Everything else going on around us is diversion to keep our minds occupied on other things.
Does the Political Class have an agenda? They certainly do. To declare otherwise is to admit that you are either blind or stupid. Or both. Is it an agenda that is detrimental to America and the American way of life? Look around. You tell me if its detrimental to America.
How did we get here?
"Give me four years to educate the children and the seeds I have sown will never be uprooted" ~~Vladimir Lenin
Hmmm....
When did we allow the militarization of our police forces? Why did we allow it? They are killing us, ya know. With impunity. Why do we allow it? Is it part of the plan? When will we strike back? It is our natural right, ya know. It's a big deal. Forces at all levels of our government are killing us. And we are allowing it. Because we are afraid of them. We believe that they have the power to do what they do. The only way that they can have that power is if we give it to them. THEY DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT, NATURAL OR LEGAL, TO DO THE THINGS THEY DO TO US.
We have become the sick and twisted citizens of a sick and twisted nation. It pains me greatly to think that, to say that, to know that. This isn't the America that I was born in and raised in. This isn't the America that I served 12 and a half years in the Army for, prepared to defend her in any way needed. Am I the stupid one?
No one cares.
We have a lot of work ahead of us to correct the mess that we have allowed America to become.
Stay safe.
Your morning cup of motivation. NEVER QUIT!
Some folks are just plain motivated and believe in what they are doing. Always.
Some folks talk the talk. Some walk the walk.
As I understand it, there are currently over 40 active duty military amputees serving in A'stahn, many in combat roles. Sends a shiver down my spine.
Skeeters and stuff...
Is this a mosquito? No. It's an insect spy drone for urban areas, already in production, funded by the US Government. It can be remotely controlled and is equipped with a camera and a microphone. It can land on you, and it may have the potential to take a DNA sample or leave RFID tracking nanotechnology on your skin. It can fly through an open window, or it can attach to your clothing until you take it in your home. Given their propensity to request macro-sized drones for surveillance, one is left with little doubt that police and military may look into these gadgets next. And for all you who automatically say "fake" because you don't think your glorious government is funding this... do some research. Source: http://is.gd/Uy5DJT Actual research paper: http://is.gd/1UcubI Actual footage: http://is.gd/wYN00X Another source: http://is.gd/0sVVAS And another: http://is.gd/u5DC9s ~~~~ I dunno. What do you think? Would your government do that to you? Imagine the possibilities. I swat skeeters. Stay safe. |
