Well, yeah... obama has us allied with al Qaeda in the fight against the Assad regime in Syria. Yes, it is the same al Qaeda that we fought in Iraq and that we are fighting in Afghanistan. And yes, it is the same al Qaeda who perpetrated the attacks of September 11, 2001 and September 11th, 2012 on us.
Makes perfect sense.
