Brass...

~~~~~~
From a friend.  Range Master for a local PD.  I will never argue with a man who wants to give me free .223 brass.  Looks like about 4 batches in the tumbler, eh?  :)
Over packed...
I order gun parts and reloading supplies from a large, well known supplier in the Midwest.  It never fails to give me a chuckle when the package arrives.  I ordered 500 cast bullets in .38 caliber a couple of days ago.  They arrived today.  I got home from work and the Missus said "you got a BIG box from ****** today".  I looked at the box and said to her "Do you know what's in there?  A box of bullets".  "A box of bullets?"  I said "yes, a box of bullets".  "One box?" she asks.  "Yes, one box".  She gets a kick out of it, too...
There were 66 airbags protecting one box of bullets.  Granted, there are 500 bullets in the box, but still, overkill...
Anyway, that's my chuckle for the day.
I never feared my government...
Verbatim post from Bizpacreview:
‘Schindler’s List’ producer: I never feared my government until now
 ”Schindler’s List” producer Gerald Molen was shaken by last week’s indictment of colleague, conservative author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza, and he said it has caused him to think twice about how he views the government.
Molen helped produce D’Souza’s film “2016: Obama’s America” and he is currently working with him on the follow-up project, “America,” scheduled for a Fourth of July release.
In an interview with Newsmax, Molen made some chilling comments. Read the exchange from Newsmax:
“I’m a little bit taken aback by the whole thing because he’s such a great American,” Molen said of D’Souza on Newmax TV’s “Steve Malzberg Show.” The conservative writer and commentator understands the process in America and how it works, Molen said.
Molen, who also produced the Academy-award winning “Schindler’s List,” said he has not spoken to D’Souza since he learned of the indictment, and wouldn’t make comments about the specific case until he’s learned all the facts.
Still, he said he would not be surprised if the probe is politically motivated.
Asked by Malzberg if he ever felt threatened or had any feelings they should not have been making the film, Molen answered, “No. This is America. I’ve never had that feeling,” adding, “I’ve never had the occasion to think that I had to fear my government. I never had the thought that I had reason to think I had to look over my shoulder until now.”
But, he said, he wouldn’t be intimidated out of pursuing future projects.
“It certainly gives me reason to think about it, but no, I won’t back off,” he said. “I’ll keep on doing exactly what I’m doing.”
You should have feared your government a long time ago.  At least since the Patriot Act became law.  If that didn't get you, the actions of law enforcement after the Boston Marathon bombing should have certainly woken you up.  Or after Jose Guerena's murder.  Or Kelly Thomas' murder.  Or a thousand other things that the government has done to make you fear them.  They want you to fear them.  Fear is control.
Conservative success ignored by media...
“It’s the kind of news that should have caused a political earthquake.”
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker
That’s how Rush Limbaugh led off a five-minute, full-throated endorsement of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker’s announcement that with unemployment in the state dropping he wants to cut income and property taxes to return a state budget surplus to Badger State taxpayers – to the people who earned the money in the first place.
Instead, the news about deep-blue Wisconsin’s turnaround under a Republican governor got virtually no attention outside of Wisconsin, Limbaugh said. The mainstream media, he said — the networks, cable, The New York Times, the Washington Post — don’t consider it newsworthy, or don’t want to draw attention to it.
But it’s a lesson for conservatives around the country: Conservative principles can work.
“For us as conservatives, Wisconsin and Governor Walker, everything that we want to happen happened here,” Limbaugh said. “We want somebody who believes in conservatism and can articulate it, who gets elected on that basis and then implements it.
“Everything that we are demanding as voters, everything that you demand as tea party members are demanding, Scott Walker did!”
Polite society...
Of course, if parents would teach their children manners we would be much better off, too.
Ill mannered children killing each other...  Makes no sense.
Blame Bush...
Nice try.  Here are obama's stats...
It has been 5 years.  Have things been "fixed"?  Are you better off today than you were before obama?  Is this the "hope and change" we were promised?
SP 101...
~~~~~~

I have really taken a fancy to DA revolvers.  Primarily for their dependability.  I think.  Plus, I really like shooting them.  The Missus shoots them, too.  She is a .22 aficionado, but will gladly shoot a few .38 Specials when we go to the range.  I load a few .38 Specials a little bit on the light side for her and she is happy.  When she is happy, I am happy :)

Anyway, this one was added to the collection tonight.  SP 101 in .357 Magnum with a 4" barrel.  5 rounds in the cylinder.  It weighs in at just over 35 29 ounces empty.  I have a Hogue monogrip coming.  I like the Hogue grips.  I have them on all of my revolvers.  I really like the Ruger revolvers, too.  They may not be quite as shiny as the Smiths or the Colts, but they shoot just fine.  Less expensive, too.  No, I don't have anything against Smiths or Colts.  I'm kinda looking around for a Python.  If the price is right.  And the condition is good.  I'm patient.  I thought I had a line on a Trooper a year or so ago.  One of my employees received one from his mother's estate.  He isn't really a "gun guy".  He's an avid bow hunter.  Anyway, he took it out and shot it and decided he liked it and wanted to keep it.  Can't blame him.  I figure that one of these days he'll need some cash...  Sneaky, eh?  ::)

I'd like to get out to the range with this one soon.  The weather is fixin' to turn to shit tonight.  A bit of snow and some incredibly cold temps for a couple days.  We'll see how it goes.

Anyway...  There is still the A2 project.  LOL.  We'll get there, eventually.

Proclaim it changed...

I question how The People became stupid enough to allow it...

Oh!  Wait!  Half The People want it, because the "system" takes too long.

Today is the 41st anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

Sad at the thought of the millions killed for convenience.

I'm not going to post any pictures of the broken bodies.  You have all seen them before.  What you don't easily see are the broken minds and spirits of the mothers.  And of the nation.

Thomas' killers "not guilty"...

AOL.com

Officers Acquitted In Beating Death of Homeless Man

SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) - Two former California police officers were acquitted Monday in the death of a homeless man after a violent struggle with officers that was captured on surveillance video.
It was a rare case in which police officers were charged with a death involving actions on duty.
Former Fullerton police officer Manuel Ramos was acquitted of second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter. Former Cpl. Jay Cicinelli was acquitted of involuntary manslaughter and excessive use of force.
Cincinelli embraced his lawyer and put his face in his hands as the verdict concluded.
Outside court, Thomas's parents condemned the verdict.
"Just horrified," Cathy Thomas said. "He got away with murdering my son. It's just not fair. So I guess it's legal to go out and kill now. He was so innocent. It just isn't fair at all."
Ron Thomas said the defense "lied ... continuously" about his son's character, such as his drug use.
"It's carte blanche for police officers everywhere to beat us, kill us" because the verdict proves "they'll get away with it."
Thomas was taken off life support five days after the July 5, 2011, scuffle with several officers.
A third officer is awaiting trial. Three others were not charged.
Four-term Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas tried the current case himself, a sign of its importance.
Thomas' death led to days of protests in Fullerton, a Southern California college town, forced the recall of three City Council members and led the police chief to step down.
Dozens of Thomas supporters, who called themselves "Kelly's Army," packed the courtroom each day of the five-week trial wearing yellow ribbons and buttons bearing his image. Ron Thomas said his son suffered from schizophrenia and didn't understand the orders from police.
The surveillance video was key evidence at trial and was played repeatedly by attorneys for both sides. The 33-minute video begins shortly after Ramos pulled up in his patrol car and continues well past the end of the struggle, capturing the officers' exchanges as Thomas lies unconscious in a pool of blood and paramedics work to revive him.
The incident began when Ramos responded to a routine call about a disheveled man jiggling the handles of car doors in a busy Fullerton transit center parking lot.
