It isn't just black kids...

BILL HAS GONE AND DONE IT AGAIN...

They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English.
I can't even talk the way these people talk:
Why you ain't, ...
Where you is,
What he drive,
Where he stay,
Where he work,
Who you be...
And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.
And then I heard the father talk.
Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth.
In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living.

People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an Education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around.
The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal.
These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids.
$500 sneakers for what?
And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics.

I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit.
Where were you when he was 2?
Where were you when he was 12?
Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol?
And where is the father? Or who is his father?
People putting their clothes on backward:
Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong?
People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something?

Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body?
What part of Africa did this come from??
We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa .....

I say this all of the time. It would be like white people saying they are European-American. That is totally stupid.
I was born here, and so were my parents and grand parents and, very likely my great grandparents. I don't have any connection to Africa, no more than white Americans have to Germany , Scotland , England , Ireland , or the Netherlands . The same applies to 99 percent of all the black Americans as regards to Africa . So stop, already! ! !
With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap ......... And all of them are in jail.

Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem.
We have got to take the neighborhood back.
People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' -- or men or whatever you call them now.
We have millionaire football players who cannot read.
We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We, as black folks have to do a better job.
Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us.
We have to start holding each other to a higher standard..
We cannot blame the white people any longer.'

~Dr.. William Henry 'Bill' Cosby, Jr., Ed..D.

Yes, Mr. Cosby said that.

I like his message.  I agree with him.

But it isn't just black kids.  It's the white kids who wanna be black.  It's the Hispanic kids who see no need to assimilate.  Yes, a lot of the blame falls on the parents.  And on a government and society who preach the gospel of Political Correctness.  It is a failed gospel.  We all know that.  Those people who believe that PC is a viable alternative to reality are simply stupid.  They have thrown logic and common sense out the window.  We have created a society filled with low information individuals who have escaped the bonds of responsibility and accountability.  Sad.

The citizens practice PC because they have been shamed into doing so.  Often against their own gut feelings.  The government promotes PC because it is beneficial to them.  It creates pliable, uninformed voters who will always vote for the "correct party" without question.  Self reliance and useful education are dangerous to the promoters of PC.

Ahhhhh well.  It has all been said before...

  2. A lot of folks see it and agree with the likes of Mr. Cosby. Too many still want to play the blame game. The race baiters benefit from the blame game.

  3. This will never go anywhere because it makes too much sense, but it's refreshing to hear.

  5. My wife was planning on teaching for a couple more years, but she decided that after this school year she's done. These kids are getting worse and worse every year. The so called parents don't teach them anything in the early formative years before they start school, so they are already behind by the time they even get to that point. No morals, no discipline, no anything. By the time my wife gets them in 6th and 7th grade it's way too late. I think that we're way past the tipping point now and that we're probably permanently screwed. I can only pray that we're not.

  6. This man speaks the truth. I worked with him years ago and he is someone both kids and parents can and should look up to. God Bless you Bill Cosby.

  7. That is a very honest assessment of what raising children is, regardless of their color, race, religion, etc. Its expecting MORE from them and that includes PARENTS being the example for them to aspire to.

Somehow, I don't expect the black community to even acknowledge this, its 'somebodys fault' its the way it is.

  8. Taminator... There was a time when I was in college when I thought I might like to teach. History was my major and I thought teaching HS History might be a great thing. I didn't go into teaching. I don't know if that was good or bad. Best of luck to the missus.

Marilee... Thank you for stopping by and for your comment. Thanks for sharing your first person experience. It is always always helpful to hear from a person such as yourself.

Anon... Sadly, we have created the environment we have today. We have at least allowed it to happen. Too far gone, me thinks :)
