I'm with ya, Miss V. Way more money than brains. A little man with a Napoleon complex. Dangerous combination to be so small and feel so impotent and have so much money...
This is the letter I sent to my local newspaper website :
I watched Mr. Bloomberg's video.
The little girl's parents were sloppy in their safekeeping habits.
The little girl's parents never taught her safe handling, and that guns are not toys.
The NRA's Eddie Eagle program teaches kids who happen upon a firearm "Do not touch, and go get an adult".
My daughter has had the proper safety training, even though I don't care if she never wants to hunt or shoot as a sport. I wanted to make sure she knows safe handling for herself, and more importantly, I wanted her to recognize if someone else was acting the fool. I DON'T want her to just have to rely on someone else's word that "It's cool, I know what I'm doi--POW!.
You don't get even one mistake in this situation. But ignorance isn't the answer, knowledge is the answer.
Anon... The fact that the parents were negligent in their storage procedure in the Bloomberg video was intentional, a method to further propagandize how "unsafe" firearms are. Propaganda similar to what the Nazis used in the 30s to legally assume power in Germany. Like your daughter, my grandchildren have been taught, and will continue to be taught, gun safety and proper firearm use. :) Knowledge is power! Thanks for stopping by.
That, right there is an enemey of the U.S.
ReplyDeleteHe is a perfect example of someone with more money than brains.
Miss Violet
enemy. Ugh, more tea. ;-)

ReplyDeleteDavid P in NC... Thanks for the links! :)
Oh yeah, I know exactly why the video does that.
ReplyDeleteNotice how it talks about 2 million kids living in households with a gun present... They want you to read that as 2 million kids shot every year.
Along the lines of those political posters of long ago, where one candidate might accuse another of practicing nepotism with his OWN SISTER.
Exactly!
