I may cause some ire here, but in large cities, where urban combat in some sectors is the norm, I don't have a problem with out-gunning the scum. However, to your point, I don't understand how smaller towns - even villages - seem to have more fire power than one could imagine. Where does a small town get that kind of money to buy war surplus and up-gun their police to the extent in the picture? If I wasn't heavy into conspiracy theories, it's almost like this equipment is being "pre-positioned" for later use in these areas, like Mayberry RFD, to be called upon "as needed."
