No longer a crime...

~~~~~~
A few years from now history books will ask why Americans sat back and did nothing while a social and moral genocide engineered by the "Progressive Left" intentionally destroyed the very fabric of a once great nation, perhaps the greatest nation ever.
They will ask that question the same way late 20th century Americans asked how the Germans could have sat back and done nothing while the Nazis took over.  Or how the Russians sat back while the Soviets took over.
They will ask, "couldn't they see what was happening?"
Yes, we saw what was happening...
CA, K, RITR and many others have blogged about this over the last 10 or so years, as you already know, but what options were available? Voting has been an illusion since before Dicky, trying to convince people that they were allowing themselves to be manipulated into trusting the .gov to ensure quality of life and thought would have been a failure, since as Caeser said, "men willingly believe what they want to", and "going galt" would have been a minor success, but a negative in the overview, because of the loss of a III. Some would point out that there would be increased scrutiny on those who believe in Liberty, I suggest that was inevitable, .gov never gets smaller and we're an impediment to their control and manipulation efforts.
So the only realistic option is to prep, gather tribe, wait for the reset, and restore. That doesn't diminish the fact that the loss of Liberty is partly on our heads, those of us who are trying to keep it, but this fault lies more on the heads of those who choose the illusion over the reality. And I won't have any empathy for those people when the ruckus kicks off, they made their choice.
I agree with everything you say. I have written hundreds of letters and made hundreds of phone calls over the past few years. I will continue to do so. Why? It is, after all, a lost cause, right? ;) I will continue to do it because that is how our form of government is suppose to work. Without input from the citizens the politicians have no choice but to make decisions on their own. (that's another story, no? :) )
Can we survive obama? Certainly. Can we survive the takeover of our morality and the education of our children by the Progs? That will be a bit more difficult.
Fortunately, I believe that some people are starting to see that the Dems, Libs, Progs, whatever, have been keeping the poor and minorities down. It has always been intentional. I also believe that people are beginning to see that ALL politicians are the same, that they all lust for power and control.
It isn't over but it ain't a gonna be easy :)
A lost cause? Isn't that the survival on the island reality teevee show? ;)
I agree with your view on the writing letters, yeah that's how it should work, and sometimes it probably does, I know :) Sen. Begich in Alaska listens to voter's input.
I also agree with your view that people are starting to realize there is no difference in political label, and that the "supporters of minorities" are actually the oppressors, on all sides of the color prism.
No, it won't be easy, but it will be and is worth it. I hope to still be around for a few years to help with the Restoration, but that's not entirely up to me. :)
Oh, I have a feeling that you'll be fine... :)
The scarier possibility is that 40 years from now that question would never occur to a young person.
You're right, Odysseus, that is a scary thought.
In STARSHIP TROOPERS, the Veterans took over the government and you couldn't be a Citizen unless you served. This may be the right time for this idea to take root.
May be... yes, perhaps :)
