Experience matters...

~~~~~~~
Was Ronnie Raygun perfect?  No.  Was he as perfect as he is fondly remembered by Conservatives who lived during the Reagan years?  Nah, probably not.  Was he better than what we have now?
You tell me.  :)
  1. Didn't he also say something like, "It's amazing what you can accomplish if you don't care who gets the credit."
    Getting credit is another failing of the present president.
  2. "There is no limit to what a man can do or where he can go as long as he doesn't mind who gets the credit."
    My father-in-law had that cast into aluminum desk plaques when he was a manager at John Deere many moons ago. I still have one of them, somewhere. :)
  3. I believe Ron was sincere. He wanted to see this country succeed and be the leader of the free world. He also used the word "teamwork". You don't hear that these days. It's Us or Them. I literally cried when he left office because I knew it would either be never or a long, long time before we'd see anyone like him again as a POTUS. Can you see a clinton or obama standing at the Russian-German border and saying, "Mr Putin, tear down this wall?" Putin would walk across and punch them in the stomach and neither would do jack about it. Democrats / liberals look for somebody to fix blame rather than fix a problem.
  4. Honestly, I can't see a clinton or an obama doing anything constructive or positive. They are so self absorbed, like spoiled children.
