Blue, I agree. This administration has caused so much distraction (albeit planned and executed) rather than governing or serving the interests of this nation. Nixon ended the war in Viet Nam and started to pull us out of war time economy. We didn't shy away from Soviet Russia. We picked ourselves up off the floor and carried on. Our POTUS said it had to be done. As "bad" as he has been labeled, he still had the moral courage to leave the office rather than demean it and use it as his own personal ATM and travel agency. He spent time in the Oval Office - not the golf course. His wife, Pat, had class. Yeah, who's the crook now?
MADDOG... I don't think that Nixon was bad. I think he got caught up in what turned out to be societal change brought on by the Liberal Hippies. The Vietnam war was simply the catalyst for that change and Nixon just happened to be the Conservative (?) President in office at the time. It is still going on today with the exact same players on the Liberal side. They are still trying to transform our government to conform to their Socialist view. They depend upon keeping the population stupid and incapable of original or critical thought. It is all that gives them a chance at power... a stupid electorate willing to have their lives ruled by their masters on the simple promise of a little bit of free shit. That is where we are today. It looks like the rainbow faeries have won.
Kurt... How the hell have you been? :) 30,000? Did you know that 93% of all facts are made up on the spot? :)
Well, now, that cerainly puts things into perspective, eh?
ReplyDeleteThey will still vote for her.
ReplyDeleteNixon at least had the balls to step down rather than drag the office of POTUS through the mud.
Clintons are evil.
