Yeah, I kind of noticed the discrepancy in responses by the media and gummint. Locally, though, there was a HUGE outpouring of response to honor one of the soldiers from our community who was killed. Just underscores that the Powers That Be aren't representative of normal citizens.
I do believe that the Progressive Left would like to see Christianity disappear...
