Born 1944, dad TSgt in Army, uncle gunner on flattop. Grew up in postwar era. I remember the Korean war, the space race, the iron curtain, the Budapest uprising, Vatican II, etc., etc. My neighborhood, city, state, country are nowhere close to what they once were, when I as a 5-year-old could walk alone to kindergarten. TARFU. I'm glad I'm old and don't have a lot of time left.
Hans... are you sure those aren't ropes keeping the barn from falling over backward? ;)
John... I found it on Fb. Glad you like it.
Old Bob... I was born in 54. My dad was in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. The America I remember was certainly a whole lot different than it is today. I walked to kindergarten on the first day with the Maharry sisters. A fellow kindergartner and a second grader. It was quite a walk but, somehow, we survived...
I agree 100%
