No act of righteouness goes unpunished; gratitude and accolades too numerous to mention - NOT. Kind of like my sad dating history: Take out a girl for dinner and a movie, be polite and courteous, not pushy. She has you take her home, to her house, where she gives you a shy good-bye. After you leave, she calls up the bad boy who treats her like crap and he gets laid on your dime. Afterwards, if you see her on campus and try to say Hi, she wants nothing to do with you. Wash, rinse, repeat. Yeah, this reminds me of the "good ole days". Conservatives / Republicans do the heavy lifting and dems / libs reap the rewards. "Grateful" is a word seldom used by these folks to those who help them. It's usually, "Give me more or what have you done for me lately?" No wonder there is anger and resentment on this side when your POTUS says you never done enough, won't do enough, or be appreciated for what you've done.
