Worth reading...

  1. It is difficult to say which of the govt's actions have been most deplorable in this over a decade long saga against the Hammonds but the suppression of testimony by Judge Hogan is a strong contender. Then there are specific persons within the BLM and FWS who, because of their continued harassment and more against the Hammonds (the defendant's family members, inclusive), should be charged with a litany of crimes.

Remember, this begins in those glorious days of the 90s. That fact plus that the vile BLM is involved reminds me of the debauchery of Clinton's last days when he signed the Grand Staircase/Escalante into being. It was a vast power grab of privately held lands.

The Hammond escapade is only the latest of a plethora of such land grabs. And make special note of how when the BLM became aware of how wildlife responded to the better land stewardship of the ranchers, the BLM took direct action against the ranchers. Wildlife be damned.

  2. Correction: in my last paragraph, it should read it was the FWS that acted thusly. However, the BLM was in a supporting role.

  3. Assuming that everything in the article is true and correct, we have a problem. I know that our government lacks credibility in so many areas and that they are not averse to bullying citizens (think civil asset forfeiture) Incredible.

    Thanks for your thoughts!
