Emails have already gone out to Senators Grassley and Ernst. :) I doubt obama will nominate a Conservative...
I try to tell my kids, and anyone else who will listen, that nominating Supremes is one of the most important things a President can do. The effects are usually very long lasting. The last two obama put on the court still scare me. They promote the Liberal agenda rather than The Constitution, in my opinion. It's almost like they do what they are told.
Ahhhh well.
We are now at one of the most important junctures this nation has ever faced.
Sunnybrook... This certainly has the possibility of speeding up our demise.
Anon... Agreed. We must be vigilant. I hope that Conservative Americans understand how important this is flood their US Senators with calls, letters, emails and visits.
bocopro... I read somewhere last night that Loretta Lynch could be on obama's short list. Another nominee with no judicial experience, but plenty of Liberal ideas and a willingness to work for "the cause".
I don't think any Obama nominees have a snowballs chance in hell of passing before he leaves. He can nominate all he wants but getting them passed before November - I doubt it, its an election year, way too short a timeline for voters to forget what they let happen.
Let the November elections go through, and let the new guy handle the choice. Needing a tie breaker only needed a couple of times and if deadlocked, the lower court decision stays.
I suppose he could nominate a Moderate. Nahhhh. Ain't happening. He still wants to "fundamentally change" America. He needs the Supremes to finish that for him. A Moderate would never do.
In that case, I hope the Senate has the balls to resist.
You have to believe that Ginsberg isn't going to be around much longer. She could retire in, say, July...
Can you imagine?
I hope that those on the Right get off their asses this time and vote. We all know that the Left will do a good job of "getting out the vote".
We have been screwed for a long time, now it will just speed up the disintegration.
ReplyDeleteWe are screwed, if we throw in the towel before the first punch is thrown!
ReplyDeleteAny bets on whether the first nominee will be either a Muslim or a black lesbian?
ReplyDeleteA 3rd Soetoro term with Cankles behind the Resolute Desk will be the death knell for this brave New World experiment.
Adios to economy. Au revoir to racial harmony. Arrivederci infrastructure.
Hello, balkanization. Beinvenu, dollar collapse. Wilkommen, shari'a.
Rope, tar, torches, .30 cal . . . some assembly required.
