  6. I agree. How did we get to this place?

  7. How did we get here? By listening to our fine media betters and ignoring what our fine, Dem, pols were doing.

I started despairing when Bill was re-elected.
That's when I noticed that people only believed what was in the NY Times (and hence, reported by every other media outlet).

Lately, I figured out that the media realized their power when they brought down Nixon for doing what Dems had been doing for decades.

He was actually a decent POTUS, but he's become the most hated because of the relentless bullshit out of our fine media betters.

  10. Blue, if it is, it's going to be ugly.
There are too many people invested in the status quo.
From our fine betters who deserve to win all elections to the large percentage of our nation that deserves free stuff to the NYTimesWashPostCNNFoxnewsABCCBSNBCetc. who are the arbiters of what we are allowed to say.

That's why I've been rooting for an asteroid for years.
It would be less destructive than what's coming.

  11. I agree that there is the potential for some ugliness. It is history in the making. We are here to see it, to participate in it, to possibly effect change. It's a great time to be here, my friend ;)

  12. According to most historians (Disclaimer: I don't know if they were flaming liberals or not) democracies last no more than 200 years. We've been around longer, but like the atomic clock, I guess we've run out of time. As a famous racist once said: I miss the old America.
