This has been my stand for years. The American public are nothing more than cows to be milked, one way or the other.
This thing is going to crack, more likely sooner than later...
Our chickens planned a revolt one day, they were going knock me down and take over the farm and eat all they wanted from the garden. As usually happens, before they could get the plan in motion, they all remembered that they were after all chicken and nothing happened.
This is why the Matrix did so well...
It's a movie about a system of control with the appearance of just enough freedom that the enslaved don't notice and they go about their happy lives...

Domesticated animals don't try to escape because they don't want 'freedom' which requires responsibility. So a couple of are sacrificed to the knackers once in awhile. As long as its not me.
