Seriously, I'd had something similar going on when I took Auto Mechanics back in high school, BUT it was with semi-clean hands , as we we not allowed to turn dirty tool back in at the tool room!
...come to think of it, the cartoon depicted ONE SET OF clean tools, or, at least, not soiled visibly.....
