Still an occupied zone...

https://www.wusa9.com/article/news/national/capitol-riots/capitol-fencing-comes-down-other-barriers-still-up/65-b346d31a-40fe-4775-9acf-af9b46d1ba6f

The fencing around our Capitol remains.  Washington DC is still an occupied zone.  Occupied at the request of our elected representatives.  To protect themselves from us.  Or something.

Every week there are articles claiming that the Capitol Police, or some other agency, has received intelligence indicating that some Conservative group plans to attack members of government or government property or... .

Of course it isn't happening, no attacks are taking place.  But the government is keeping their soft brained followers in a state of anguish, making them believe that an attack is imminent.  And the attacks won't come.  But the news will continue to carry the stories about the credible threats to our elected officials made by the radicalized military arm of the Conservative Party.  Or something.

But it isn't.  It's optics.  It's fear mongering.  It is propaganda.  Herr Goebbels would be impressed.

And the soft brained followers of Liberalism will continue to believe.

I had a conversation with a friend this morning about Seuss, Potato Head, the Coca-Cola polar bear, etc.  He is a true believer.  He said "cancel culture" does not exist. I asked him where #metoo went?  Still there, he said.  I asked if he was sure.  He said yes.  I told him I had not heard one peep out of #metoo since they sold their souls to the Devil to make sure that Creepy Uncle Joe, a fella who is antithetical to everything they stand for, was the Democrat nominee...  He looked at me like... Seriously?  I said yeah, you fuckers are a bunch of hypocrites.  I told him that there wasn't a person among them who wouldn't walk over their dying mother to fuck their syphilitic sister.

But anyway...  They live in a world where ethics and morality are situational.  Where truth is fluid, depending on the needs of the day.  Where the ends justify the means and where having a conscience is frowned upon...

But I do think that a lot of folks from all sides, who are not Progressives, are starting to question all of the "cancellations"...  :)

And Biden is coming after your guns.  I don't think I need to post any links to prove that.

I hope that you are all writing those letters and making those phone calls to your elected officials letting them know that you are opposed to any and all gun control.  As screwed up as the NRA has been at times, they seem to have a couple of decent communication campaigns going right now.   You can easily get involved using their pre-written letters to your representatives.  All you have to do is fill in a little info, and click.  Same with GOA.

Support your local advocacy groups.  1000 voices carry more weight than one.  Here in Iowa we have the Iowa Firearms Coalition.  Great bunch of folks.  Hard workers.  Looks like Iowa may get a Constitutional Amendment to our State Constitution protecting our gun rights.  We are one of 6 states that do not have an amendment protecting our gun rights.  Also looks like we may get Constitutional carry this year.  Thanks in large part to IFC and a few very active members.  Because, honestly, gun owners are the worst people to get to advocate for themselves, to write those letters and make those calls.  We tend to sit back and say that they can't come for our guns, and if they do, by God, "it ain't happening!"  Molon Labe, mother fucker!...  You know the drill.

Truth is, when someone from some agency shows up at your door with guns to take your guns, 99.99999999% will comply.  Without a whimper.  Because the alternative is to die in a hail of bullets from folks with "the law on their side".   For nothing.  Who knows what the newspapers will say about it?  Make up something outlandish and go with that...  LOL.

Anyway.

I think about a lot of things.  There are a lot of things that I want to say.  There are a lot of things that need to be said.  Personally, I'm exhausted.  I want to take a nap.  :)

Stay safe.

Peace.

  1. In CT (at 85%) & NY (at 95%) of all places reigns the Armed Civil Disobedience of Non-Compliance. Authorities that blustered about "aggressive enforcement" of the unconstitutional/intolerable acts passed post Sandy Hook, have done NOTHING. Not even what they referred to as the low-hanging fruit; those that had recently purchased now contraband firearms and magazines but chose to not comply with registration. All they have charged with such violations are criminals or idiots, and you know damn well those have been plead down to nothing. CT & NY expected sheep to register their banned items for easy future confiscation, what they got was a collective middle finger and they are frightened into inaction.

So once you are made a paper felon by your state, who cares if you are also one by the feds. Enforcement of such state tyranny has to be carried out by your state and local PD that might also be your neighbor, and therefore be reluctant to do so. The feds are a different story. Hired fed pukes of alphabet agencies have no issue "following orders" to come kick in your door at zero-dark-thirty, shoot your dogs, terrorize your family, and strip your Constitutional Rights with no due process. Therefore, citizens need to meet force with force. When the body count of tyrants and citizens gets too high, the populace will scream for it to stop. Maybe.

  2. Anon... Thank you for that comment. You are, of course, 100% correct. I remember when the gun owners out there thumbed their nose at the authorities in those cases. I'm not going to give the local authorities a pass just yet, though. Those folks did go door to door in NOLA confiscating the firearms of their friends and neighbors. I will admit that I struggle with the thoughts of "will the local Sheriff and Police be part of fueling a constitutional crisis created with firearms confiscation?" I think that a few Sheriffs around the country have stood up and resisted. Local cops went around Boston with their Federal counterparts, forcing people from their homes, hands in the air, after the marathon bombing. I believe that the locals will comply with the orders from their "superiors", at least for a while. History tends to back that. Difficult times ahead. Someone, somewhere, is going to be forced to act. It is inevitable, I believe. Thanks again for the food for thought...

  3. In the unreconstructed south that might not go over so well. Sheriff Bubba and and the rest of his crew are not going to be going door to door or holler to holler. They are part of the community and their history there is deep. Much of Appalachia is very clannish and will resist any efforts, and will band together against any edicts that come from the establishment.

  4. I think you must of severed with enough southern boys in the army to know how they are and how they feel.

  5. The more I ponder the question I think of my friends out west in SD, ND, WY ID, UT, TX, OK that live in more rural environments. No they will not roll over.

  6. Tim... Thanks for chiming in. I certainly hope that you're right. I'm not sure where most of the privately owned firearms are located in this country. I'd guess that there are a lot held in the cities, simply because that's where most of the people live. I honestly don't know. I think we have a lot of issues to face, a lot of decisions to make.

    A couple of things...

You're right, it will be hard for neighbors to go after neighbors. Harder if they are local LEO than if they are NG. Smart money says that the NG from area A is redeployed to area B if there are troubles. A unit from area C is then deployed to area A. The area A folks go to area D. The "family and friends" issue goes away. Soldiers follow orders. At least for awhile. Their violations of the Constitutional rights of American citizens in NOLA and Boston show that, without a doubt, they will follow orders. That may change when they meet serious resistance from folks who look and talk like they do. I think it will be up to their commanders...

Passive resistance, like all of the gun owners in entire states refusing to register their firearms is encouraging, but it is a relatively "safe" form of resistance. Until you try to go to the range or somewhere else in public with your unregistered firearm. You are then a felon and ineligible to own or possess firearms. That is making the assumption that those in power want to enforce the law. In times of relative peace those politicians are interested in remaining politicians and may back down. But maybe not.

If 10 guys show up at your front door at 3 am in a Bearcat, dressed like and equipped like soldiers, and they tell you that they are there to take possession of your guns, what are you going to do?

The one saving grace in the end, assuming that things ever really go that far (which I doubt), is that the US Military has never ever been very good at fighting or countering guerilla warfare. Especially against a motivated bunch of guerillas. The wars that the US have been involved in against well trained, motivated irregulars last forever and are often inconclusive. Plus, as you said, it's hard to kill your countrymen, especially when you know it's wrong...

But... training, leadership, equipment, supplies... It's all hard. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail in DC, eh?

Anyway... I don't know. I certainly served with a lot of folks from the South. And from the Midwest and the West... I trusted them and they trusted me. I'm thinking that that was long ago.. Anyway, I appreciate your thoughts. Thanks for sharing them.
