Blue - I apologize by using your forum, but I thought I'd share this because I believe it further illustrates what is said here (I promise not to do it again): A Little Bible Study - Jesus told Peter that if he wanted to catch fish, do it from the right side of the boat. They did and filled the boat with fish.
John 21:6 (NIV) He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.
Origin of Left & Right... I have often wondered why it is that Conservatives are called the "right" and Liberals are called the "left". By chance I stumbled upon this verse in the Bible:
Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV) - "The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left." -- Thus sayeth the Lord! Amen! It, surely, can't get any simpler than that!
Spelling Lesson: The last four letters in American...........I Can The last four letters in Republican........I Can The last four letters in Democrats.........Rats
End of lesson. Test to follow on November 6, 2014.
Remember, November, 2014 has been set aside as "rodent removal month". Please do your part in achieving that goal!
And there are a lot of folks out there today who claim that The Good Book is a fairy tale. Those people do not have to answer to me and they are free to believe as they wish, as long as they don't interfere with my beliefs.
They will, however, have to answer to SOMEONE, some day.
Don't apologize for speaking your mind here. Ever.
Actually "left" and "right" come from the French National Assembly after the French Revolution, where various parties seated themselves in groups near ideological allies, and it so happened that Robespierre and the Jacobins (if you are unfamiliar with him, think of him as an 18th Century Pol Pot, complete with a Khmer Rouge army at his command--until they turned on him, anyway) all sat on the left side of the room.

ReplyDeleteSo, how am I gonna pay for my time in the quarantined ICU, when I catch ebola, now that my health insurance has been cancelled?
ReplyDeleteNot sure, David. The new obamacare rates will be published right after the midterm elections, though.
ReplyDeleteNo one sees through that, right? ;)
