He donated $15.00 to Act Blue at 17. Then registered as Republican? Did his dad make him do that, threatening to throw him out? That face? It screams Antifa.
It sounded like he registered to vote when he was 17, probably while he was still in HS. (My granddaughter did that. She will be 18 before the next election) I'm not sure we'll ever know the entire story. :(
For several years leftists have been registering for Republican primaries to sow chaos and help nominate weak candidates. I suspect that is probably the case here.

Lots of Democrats registered as Republicans so they could vote in the Republican primary, hoping to embarrass Trump and get someone like Nikki Haley to do better. It's very common practice in states with closed primaries.
So this kid being registered R means absolutely nothing.
