We got a little bit of snow this morning.  Perhaps an inch over a period of about 5 hours.  The temps have been in the 40s and 50s up until just recently, so the roads are still pretty warm and snow won't stick to them yet.  What do you suppose we saw while out hunting today?  Yep, a county plow driving around with it's blade down on wet roads.  That driver was being paid double time for that today, it being Sunday and all... Of course, he didn't just roll out to the County Garage and jump into his truck and head out to plow water.  Oh no.  Someone much smarter and much higher up the food chain than him made that decision.

Ahh well...

Deer hunting starts tomorrow at sunrise.  Actually, at 6:57 a.m., 1/2 hour before sunrise.  I plan to be in place long before that.

Went to see my gun guy this evening.  He has been on vacation shooting elk in Utah.  A successful hunt!

Still no 4" GP 100.  :(    He has a 6" gun, but that isn't what I'm looking for.

He said that election day was the biggest day for gun sales they ever had.  A record.  Told me I better buy an AR from him before they are all gone.  I told him that I have 5 of them in my gun safe.  :)  He knew that.

Anyway...  One of these days a stainless GP 100 with a 4" barrel will show up and he will call and life will be good!  We've been dicking around with this for 6 months.

The oldest son and I went to the range yesterday.  It was 22* outside with a bit of a breeze out of the southwest, or a quartering tailwind...  The son had the 100 yard lane, I had the 250 yard lane right next to him.  I wasn't impressed with my shooting.  Yeah, I hit the target every time.  Just not where I wanted to hit it.  Oh well.  I took both Remington 700s and a bunch of ammo I had reloaded.   I guess we all have our bad days...  :(

When we came home I started to clean and tumble brass.  The grand-daughter wanted to help.  I think she liked the idea of having her hands in the corn cob media while the tumbler was running.  She did alright pulling the lever to full length size .223 brass but the .308 was a bit tougher for her.  She stuck with it!

She spent the night and wanted to help clean rifles this morning.  She is learning!  I guess I should purchase a fiberglass rod or a bore guide, though.  She doesn't finesse the rod into the chamber and bore...  More like the proverbial bull in the china shop.

Anyway, she is learning.  She seems to want to do whatever "Papa" is doing.

What does that mean, "equal justice"?  Just curious.  Seems a bit ambiguous, a bit subjective.  That term just happened to catch my eye. 

Anyway...

An Executive Order, the stroke of a pen...  One man's decision.  It becomes the law of the land.  See how easy that was?  Its for the common good, ya know.

Imagine what else they could confiscate via Executive Order.  Pretty much anything, I'd guess.  And they will.  And you know it.  They will take from the Makers to give to the Takers.  They will take it all.  Everything.  Do you know what will allow them to do it?  The fact that no one will resist it.  Incremental dissolution of our rights.  Incremental theft of our property, including the earnings of our labor.  One small bite at a time.  NO ONE WILL RESIST IT.  You know that's true.  Think about that.
