Seriously...?

20 Dems want the finances of Clarence Thomas looked into.  They say he did his taxes incorrectly and that the money his wife made from the Heritage Foundation should have been disclosed to the government.  This is coming from the party of Turbo Tax Timmy and several other cabinet level "ministers" who have a problem correctly completing their taxes yet still manage to obtain high level positions with the criminal obama regime.  Pot/Kettle.  Does anyone remember Elena Kagan?  Shes the Supreme Court Justice who helped obama write the health care program that was run through congress in the middle of the night, literally.   The plan is to force Thomas to recuse himself from the upcoming hearings regarding the constitunality of obamacare.  Read it here.  Liberal Fucktards.  Oh!  And they want Holder's DOJ to do the investigating.  Remember how well DOJ is doing in the Fast and Furious investigation.  OH!  WAIT!  The DOJ is being investigated in Fast and Furious.  Kinda.  Sorry.  My bad.  These people are stoopid.

Lesbians adopt boy who is now 11 and suffering identity crisis.  They want him to, wait, this is crazy...  Read it here.   He's (she's?) in the process of "changing" to be the girl she always knew she was.  Berkeley, California.   Nothing screwed up about this story.  These two wackos should be put in jail for child endangerment, mind molestation.

Corporal Klinger is apparently alive and well in the military.  Now that "don't ask, don't tell" has been rescinded, they want transgendered, transvestite folks to be able to serve openly in the military.  Read it here and here.  I guess Billy feels left out because he can't show up for formation in his skirt and pumps.  Whoa.  Have we totally lost it?  These are obviously folks on the outside pushing this hideous agenda.  These idiot Liberals wouldn't recognize "good order and discipline" if it bit them on the ass.  Crazy.

Remember that saying from the '60's and '70's?  "If it feels good, do it"?  Well, we did.  Look where it got us.

Tell me again, how in the hell did we get here?

Anyway, that's it for now.  Have a great weekend.

Anwar al-Awlaki dead...

SANAA, Yemen (AP) — Yemen's Defense Ministry said Friday that the U.S.-born al-Qaida cleric Anwar al-Awlaki has been killed.
The Yemeni ministry provided no details in the statement, which appeared on one of its website.
Yemeni security and tribal officials said an airstrike thought to have been carried out by U.S. aircraft on Friday targeted a convoy of cars traveling in the eastern province of Marib but could not say whether al-Awlaki was in the convoy...

Pretzel Logic...

Advocates for the unemployed have cheered a push by the Obama administration to ban discrimination against the jobless. But business groups and their allies are calling the effort unnecessary and counterproductive.
The job creation bill that President Obama sent to Congress earlier this month includes a provision that would allow unsuccessful job applicants to sue if they think a company of 15 more employees denied them a job because they were unemployed.
The provision would ban employment ads that explicitly declare the unemployed ineligible, with phrases like "Jobless need not apply." As The Lookout has reported, such ads appear to have proliferated in recent years, prompting an inquiry by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Democratic lawmakers in both the House and the Senate have introduced similar measures. Obama said recently that discrimination against the unemployed makes "absolutely no sense," especially because many people find themselves out of work through no fault of their own.
Advocates for employers oppose the proposed ban. "We do not see a need for it," Michael Eastman of the Chamber of Commerce told the New York Times.
Lawrence Lorber, a labor law specialist who represents employers, told the paper the president's proposal "opens another avenue of employment litigation and nuisance lawsuits."
Louie Gohmert, a Republican representative from Texas, went further. He told the Times that the proposal would send the following message: "If you're unemployed and you go to apply for a job, and you're not hired for that job, see a lawyer. You may be able to file a claim because you got discriminated against because you were unemployed."
The current downturn is characterized by a relatively low rate of layoffs, but still high unemployment. Many of the jobless have been out of work for an extended period. Around 14 million Americans are officially unemployed, of whom more than 6 million are considered "long-term unemployed," because they've been out of work for six months or more. The average duration of joblessness is currently 40 weeks, the highest in more than 60 years.
There is evidence that when people are out of work for an extended period, their skills atrophy and it becomes increasingly difficult for them to find new work.
Earlier this year, New Jersey passed a bill banning ads that tell the jobless not to apply. But it did not go as far as Obama's proposal, because it didn't explicitly allow workers to sue if they thought they were denied a job because they were unemployed.

Wow.  Seriously?

Chris Christie...

I know that a lot of folks are sitting out there waiting for the Governor of New Jersey to throw his hat into the Republican presidential race.  If you give even the slightest bit of a shit about the Second Amendment I'd suggest you Google Chris Christie Gun Laws and get an idea of what he believes in.  Start reading the articles posted there.  Pay a bit more attention than you did before you voted for obama in '08.  Beware of a smooth talker who says (mostly) what you want to hear but won't give the correct answer to the question....

Here is just a single example:

Chris Christie Fighting to Finish Line
Tuesday, October 27, 2009
===================================

HANNITY: All right. As governor, now one of the big debates in the Republican Party now is whether or not it’s going to be a party of Reagan and conservatism or those that want a more moderate voice?

As governor, now you’re a prosecutor, so you’re tough on crime.

CHRISTIE: Yes.

HANNITY: You’re running this campaign on fiscal responsibility.

CHRISTIE: Yes.

HANNITY: Are there any issues where you are, quote, moderate to left as a Republican?

CHRISTIE: Listen, I favor some of the gun-control measures we have in New Jersey.

HANNITY: Bad idea.

CHRISTIE: Listen, we have a densely-populated state, and there’s a big hand gun problem in New Jersey. Now, I don’t support all the things that the governor supports by a long stretch. But I think on guns — certain gun control issues, looking at it from a law-enforcement perspective, seeing how many police officers were killed, we have an illegal gun problem in New Jersey.

HANNITY: Should every — should every citizen in the state be allowed to get a licensed weapon if they want one?

CHRISTIE: In New Jersey, that’s not going to happen, Sean.

HANNITY: Why?

CHRISTIE: Listen, the Democratic legislature we have, there's no way those type of things — listen, at the end of the day, what I support are common sense laws that will allow people to protect themselves, but I also am very concerned about the safety of our police officers on the streets, very concerned. And I want to make sure that we don't have an abundance of guns out there.

But listen, the issues in this race are taxes and jobs and spending.

Google him.  Read all that you can.

Am I a single issue voter?  Let me put it this way:  If a candidate is a proponent of weakening or abusing the Second in any way, shape or form, he or she won't get my vote.  DQ.  Out.  Not happening.

Anyway, I'm not excited about any of the Republicans that have thrown their hat in the ring with the possible exception of Ron Paul.  I know that folks complain about his stance on foreign policy but hey, perhaps being isolationists again isn't such a bad idea.

Sarah Palin intrigues me.  Anyone who scares the crap out of the establishment Democrats and Republicans while maintaining a strong grassroots base must be doing something right.

The problem is, as I see it, that there is really no one out there who will bring this country back together.  There are no leaders.

We're screwed.  No sense in denying that.

Life in Oceania...

"It was terribly dangerous to let your thoughts wander when you were in any public place or within range of a telescreen. The smallest thing could give you away. A nervous tic, an unconscious look of anxiety, a habit of muttering to yourself--anything that carried with it the suggestion of abnormality, of having something to hide. In any case, to wear an improper expression on your face was itself a punishable offense. There was even a word for it in Newspeak: facecrime..."

Did the U.S. Attorney’s Office, ATF Case Agent Attempt to Obstruct Congressional Inquiry?
Secret recordings released over the last week corroborated details about coordination between the U.S. Attorney’s office in Phoenix and the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) case agent in answering questions from my congressional investigation of Operation Fast and Furious.
Both the U.S. Attorney’s office and the ATF were intimately involved in the botched gun operation.  It started as an ATF case, but later became a “prosecutor-led,” multiagency strike force case.  An assistant in the U.S. Attorney’s office was responsible for coordinating the operation and deciding whether and when to prosecute the straw purchasers.  ATF supervisors claim that the U.S. Attorney’s office consistently refused to prosecute straw purchasers, which then required them to let the criminals and the guns go.  However, agents testified that there was plenty of evidence to justify stopping the suspects to question them and develop probable cause to seize the firearms.
The tapes, secretly recorded by the Federal Firearms Licensee cooperating with the ATF operation, bring more details to light in the botched operation that allowed guns to be purchased by known straw buyers who then transported the firearms to criminals and Mexican drug cartels.  Two guns found at the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry were part of this operation, and many more have been found at crime scenes in the United States and Mexico.
The recordings reveal concerns raised by the gun dealer to ATF Case Agent Hope MacAllister about statements made by Assistant U.S. Attorney Emory Hurley.  This recording corroborates a transcribed interview that congressional investigators had with the cooperating gun dealer and his attorney.  In the interview, the congressional investigators were informed that the Assistant U.S. Attorney allegedly told the gun dealer’s attorney to tell his client that the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the ATF and the gun dealer were “all in the same boat.”  On a separate occasion the ATF group supervisor in Phoenix, David Voth, allegedly told the gun dealer, “we are on all on the same sheet of music.  And if we stay on the same sheet of music, we will be all right.”  These statements were made to the gun dealer or his attorney while discussing the congressional inquiry that I had undertaken in late January 2011.
The interview, in conjunction with the recordings, shows what appears to be an attempt by federal officials to get the gun dealer on board with telling the same story to Congress about the ill-advised gun-walking strategy.
In addition, the recordings showed the lengths the ATF might go to in order to head off a congressional investigation.  During one of the conversations between the cooperating gun dealer and the ATF case agent, the agent suggested that a way to make the issues “go away” would be to hire a private investigator to investigate me.
They obviously don’t know me very well.  I’ll keep working on getting to the bottom of this disastrous strategy until we find out who approved Fast and Furious, and we make sure something so stupid is never approved again.

I hope we see some indictments soon.  High level indictments.  Criminals at the very highest levels of government.  They are criminals, ya know.  If you or I did what they have done we'd be in jail by now.  They would have thrown away the key.  (My momma used to tell me that "they" were gonna lock me up and throw away the key.  I miss her)

Yes, Virginia, there were WMDs....

Kurdish victims of Sarin gas 1988

The National Review published an article last Wednesday making the case that there were, in fact, weapons of mass destruction in Iraq when Bush II invaded that country.  Enough biological material to pretty much destroy the world was already produced or had nearly finished the production process and was ready to be used.  Hussein had done it before.  He had killed people with biological weapons.  Why would anyone believe that he wouldn't do it again?

That story is here.

It is backed up by about 1000 pages of research that you can find here.

You can draw your own conclusions.

I found it interesting at the time that Bush II had nearly unanimous congressional support for the invasion of Iraq based on intelligence claiming that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction.  I also found it interesting how quickly those same supporters turned on him when those weapons weren't immediately discovered when we invaded Iraq.  Definitely not the kind of people I'd trust to have my back.

Saddam Hussein was a bad man.  He was a man who murdered hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of his own people in his quest for power and control.  He was a bad man in the same way that Hitler, Stalin, Lenin, Pol Pot, Che Guevara, etc. were bad men.  He was a threat to the region and a threat to the world.  He needed to be destroyed.

The world today is full of bad men (and women) who are just as willing as the bad men mentioned above to kill any people who get in the way of their quest to control everyone and everything in this world.

What drives a person to want to have control over another?  To determine who lives and who dies?

What does one gain by controlling the world?

Do these people want to be glorified?  To have statues and monuments erected in their honor?  To have people do their bidding and to bow at their feet?

Hasn't history taught them anything?  Don't they realize that they are destined to failure?

Our society is collapsing around us and all we do is initiate more programs exactly like the programs that brought us to this place in order to perpetuate the decline.

Why?

SFMEDIC has a blog post today that explains the mechanics of how we got to where we're at today.  Now, to figure out the mentality that got us here.  Personally, I believe it to be greed and ego.  Entitlement.  Arrogance.  Cold hearted prickishness.  The desire to have the proles worship at one's feet.

Take a moment and go see what Curtis has to say.  He has an interesting letter to share.  The people we elect to lead us are mentally detached from reality.

Check out Brock's blog to read about racism in the halls of power.  Oh, wait!  They can't be racists.

Control....

It isn't about security.  It's about control.

Amerikans had the opportunity to send a message today.  Amerikans had the opportunity to tell those who would control us that enough is enough.

The opportunity passed.  Amerikans failed.

The NFL stadiums were full.

The message sent was the wrong one.  The message that was sent was that Amerikans will accept their privacy being invaded, they will accept personal humiliation and the humiliation of their families, they will accept the hands of a stranger touching their bodies and the bodies of their family members for no reason other than control, as long as they can get into the stadium to watch the game.

Believe me when I say "People were watching".

Amerikans will allow any perversion against their freedom as long as no one disturbs the status quo.

You're pathetic.

Because you have voluntarily allowed this, the intrusions will increase.  By the time you realize what you have allowed, it will be too late.  It's already too late.

You're pathetic.

It's all about control.

No sense of humor....

From David P. is SC....

In a real-life version of the movie "Weekend at Bernie's," two men drove around with a dead friend's body, then used his ATM card during a visit to a strip club, police said.
Robert Jeffrey Young and Mark Rubinson were charged with abusing a corpse, identity theft and criminal impersonation. They were freed on bond, according to the Denver Post.
It's unclear how Jeffrey Jarrett died, but the men were not charged in his death. The cause has not yet been determined, as toxicology tests are still under way, the paper reported.
According to the Post, an affidavit said Young found Jarrett dead at his home in southeast Denver, but instead of alerting authorities, went to find Rubinson at the restaurant where he works. The two then allegedly went back to Jarrett's home and loaded the body into Rubinson's Lincoln Navigator.
The affidavit accused Young and Rubinson of leaving Jarrett's body in the vehicle while they drank at a bar on his tab Aug. 27.
Investigators allege the men stopped at a restaurant, returned Jarrett's body to his home, used Jarrett's ATM card and withdrew $400 at a teller machine at Shotgun Willie's strip club before reporting Jarrett's death.
"This is a bizarre and unfortunate crime," police spokesman Sonny Jackson said. "This isn't anything you want to have happen to a loved one. You want them treated with respect in death."
A relative told the Denver Post that Jarrett was a father and a professional who sold real estate and owned his home in southeast Denver. The family now wants an investigation about how Jarrett died, and the relative said they wanted to know whether he could have been saved if Young had called for help rather than going to meet a friend.

All I can say is that the government has no sense of humor.

Stay safe.

Just think....

Just think, over the coming weekend approximately 900,000 people in the United States of Amerika will voluntarily subject themselves to enhanced pat-down procedures sponsored by the new collaboration between the NFL and DHS in order to attend professional football games across this country.

The new slogan being used by our government to strike fear into the hearts of everyday Amerikans is "If you see something, say something".  This is a well thought out form of government sponsored terrorism designed to force conformity, compliance, and fear.  It's quite subtle but it does send the message that there must be something "out there" that could potentially harm you and it also implies that if you give the government the desired information they will be able to help keep you safe.

How fucking stupid are we?

I think it's time to resurrect that old (failed) government slogan from the 1980's war on drugs....

We're in a pickle....

Jimmy Carter is an idiot without relevance.  Mitt Romney is an idiot who happens to be in a position to screw it all up.  That's just my opinion.  Here's the story.

James Carville is an idiot without relevance.  He's got a big mouth and is in a position to screw it up.  Here's that story.

This is what I think will happen:

Sounds like Carville's just another partisan hack trying to stir the stinky stuff.
We need someone who will create meaningful dialogue between the parties and work for the good of the people, because the people are the nation.  Sadly, the people and the politicians are so divided that it ain't-a-gonna happen.

What Carville says obama should do, fire people and demand accountability from the replacements and the ones who survive the purge, is correct.  obama isn't capable of doing that.  It's not how modern Democratic politics work.  It's all about cronyism.  It's about taking care of the unions because the unions are the ones who provide the money to put Democrats into office.  Divide and conquer is the Democrat policy.  obama is weak.  He isn't a leader.
I suspect that obama will not seek a second term (because the Democrats know he can't win).  Late in the game he will say that he has rethought it and has decided to step down to spend time with family and pursue other avenues.

The Democrats will then run Hillary against whomever the Republicans nominate and she will win because the Republicans don't have anyone worth a shit running.  She'll get reelected in 2016 and the Democrats will have had control of the White House for 12 years.

She will continue the Democrats destructive, bank-breaking, one world government policies but she will be a better, more trusted communicator and she will give the illusion that she is a leader.

As Americans we are only too willing to mistake motion for action.  People will eat it up.  Suicide by stupidity.  We get what we deserve.

The Conservatives will piss and whine and hope things will get better but won't do anything to correct the problem.
The inevitable civil war will come too late.
ITEOTWAWKI
Again, just my opinion.  I've been wrong before.  I've been right a few times, too.  :)
Happy Friday.

9-11....

I told myself that I wasn't going to do a 9-11 post.

Yes, I remember exactly where I was at when the first plane hit.  My wife called me at work.  I was preparing to conduct the morning production meeting....  I told her to leave the television on because there would be more attacks.  I suspected they'd be in L.A. or Chicago.  Got that wrong, didn't I?

I was pissed at Bill Clinton.

Why Bill Clinton?  Because I was (and still am) convinced that had he taken some significant action after the first WTC bombing in '93, or after the bombing of the U.S. military headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in '95, or after the bombing of the Khobar Towers complex in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia in '96, or after the bombings of the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in '98, or after the bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen in October of 2000, these "terrorists" wouldn't have bombed the WTC on 9-11.  They would have "known better".    Hey, it's what I believed at the time.

Clinton was the target of my anger though, in all honesty, because of the way he fucked over the troops he sent into Mogadishu, Somalia in October of '93 and then abandoned when the shit got deep.   He promised them that if TSHTF while they were on the ground that he would bring the full force and power of the US Military to bear in their support.  The instant those troops were in Mogadishu the operation became an international political hot potato and they were abandoned by the president to fend for themselves.  That is, in my opinion, unforgivable.  If you can't trust the CinC in wartime, who can you trust?

The fact remains that 19 muslims hijacked 4 airliners and crashed them into the WTC, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania, killing a total of 2.992 people.  A lot of others have died since then in the "War on Terror" and because of illnesses caused by working at Ground Zero.  We now kiss the ass of the muslims.  Weird, eh?  They wronged us yet we kiss their asses.  Anything wrong with this picture?

At least Bush II had brass enough to do something about it.  It is my opinion that the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are both justified, though I'll admit that if Bush I had taken Saddam out in his war, there probably wouldn't have been a need for the current war in Iraq.

The wars went on for awhile then became politicized.  Everything is done on the orders of politicians to achieve political ends.  The hands of the military have been tied.  We should have been done with both wars 5 years ago.  We have allowed "politically correct" politicians to create rules of engagement that put our soldiers at risk and prolong the conflicts.  You have to ask yourself why?  Why do we do that?  You know the answer.  We did the same thing in Viet Nam, eventually packing up and leaving, just like we'll eventually do in Iraq and Afghanistan.  We'll do it when it's politically expedient.  We no longer finish what we start.

Turn the fuckin' sand to glass and be done with it.  The next time someone screws with us, do the same to them.  It wouldn't be long before folks stopped screwing with us.

Since 9-11 the 4th amendment has been thrown out the window and we do nothing about it.  There are constant calls for assaults on the 2nd.  The 1st will be the next to go.  We have a thin skinned corrupt 1/4 black man pretending to be POTUS and he can't handle the heat.  He is failing.  He is a criminal and most of his administration are criminals.  We all know it, yet we do nothing to stop it.  All of the political class are criminal, either directly through participation, or indirectly for allowing it to continue.  Every single one of them.  It has been a very long time since the government represented and carried out the wishes of the people.  Why is that?  It's simple.  Free stuff.  Think about that.

We are so overwhelmed with the corruption and criminality at all levels of government that we don't know where to start correcting it.  We can't (or won't) even agree on what the problems are.

What does this rant have to do with 9-11?  September 11th, 2001 was the day that the criminals started in earnest to enslave us.  All of us.  It was the impetus for them to get moving.  It was the crisis not to be wasted.  It was the beginning of the end for the America we were born in and grew up in.

We have spent hundreds of billions of dollars on DHS.  Where has that gotten us?  Are we more secure today than before the Patriot Act?  How many terrorist plots has DHS uncovered?  How many bombings or hijackings has TSA foiled?  How corrupt is Holder and his DOJ?

The only substantial thing that the creation of DHS and it's subsidiaries has done is increase government employment.  Your president wants even more.

We are soooo screwed.

I recommend that y'all head on over to Brock's blog and read this post.  Read it all.  It's good.

That's all I have today.

Road trip....

Near Swaledale, Iowa

The wife and I went out for a late lunch today then decided to road trip up to Swaledale to visit a cemetary where some relatives are buried.  She's into geneology in a big way and the drive was good.   We took county roads and went through Rockford, the town that was home to Jon Tumilson and where he was recently buried.  Driving the county roads and passing through the small farming communities is like taking a step back in time.  It was good.

While perusing blogs this morning I came across this over at Kurt's Trainwreck.

It's the helmet that belonged to one of the steelworkers who was helping clean up Ground Zero.  It is to be displayed at the Ground Zero Memorial.

If you look at it closely you'll notice that something is out of place.   I would never have guessed that even a bottom feeding obamanite would stoop to such depths and politicize the tragedy that was 9-11.

I hope that this helmet doesn't go on display like this.  Perhaps it's photoshopped?  Whatever.  It's disgusting.

Ah well....

Day 6 of Mediacom Sucks....

Well, we're into day 6 without cable television or internet at home.  All of my neighbors had theirs back by noon last Saturday.

Judy is taking the afternoon off so that she can be there when the repairman, er, I mean technician, comes out to hook the cable back up at the splitter box on the pole.  Mediacom sucks.  I can't think of any other way to describe them.   The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced anywhere at any time in my entire life.  They have a monopoly on service in my little town and know that you can't go anyplace else.  Did I mention that they suck.  Remember....  Mediacom.  Word association = Mediacom/suck.

Barney is always blasting someone or something.  Barney Frank lacks credibility.  He's a loser.  He's a typical Liberal who believes that he should have "it" simply because he wants "it".
