Good Friday...

"On Thursday as they ate the Passover meal with Jesus, the disciples believed that the kingdom was coming and they were on the front end of a revolution. Then came the tragedy of Friday and, somehow even worse, the silence of Saturday. They ran. They doubted. They despaired. Yet, within the grave, God's power was still flowing like a mighty river beneath the ice of winter. And then there was Sunday morning."

Be Afraid...

The teachers knew...
The principal knew...
The police knew...
The FBI knew...
The students knew...
And yet, they blame it on the gun!

Complete failure at every level.  But, but, but...  It's the guns.

Put an end US gun rights...

Agendas...

Just gonna leave this here...

Trust...

Seems to be a true story.  :)

These things...

I'm not saying that our kids aren't smart.  I'm not saying that they are incapable of original, compassionate, heartfelt thought regarding the "mass shootings" in our schools.  I am saying that it doesn't seem all that strange that they follow the unresearched, agenda driven, narrative laden, Liberal thought process in their "protests".  I agree with this meme wholeheartedly.  The idea of a "walkout" spread like wildfire and was approved by most schools.  They weren't spontaneous.  They weren't planned by "the children".  It was a big ole' Liberal propaganda production.

These people are the "useful idiots" spoken about so often in history.  They don't know what they are doing and are easily manipulated.  They are unable to sit down and think their actions through to their logical conclusions.  And the people pulling their strings are driven by pure emotion.  No logic.  No reason.  Emotion.

The Left seems to believe that once they get rid of Trump and all of his followers, they will be able to regain control and get things back to the "way they were".  They don't understand that there is a reason that they were removed from power and that there will be no "going back".  They are going to have to learn that they aren't the only ones affected by "life and government".  They don't understand that not everyone sees the world the way they see it.  They are going to have to learn to keep their nose on their face and to live and let live.

It won't go well if they can't learn to live with those that disagree with them.  I cannot figure out how we got to this point where there is so much desire by the Left to control everything.  I think it's all about all of the "free shit" that they want.  Or, perhaps it's about the indoctrination they have received from the government sponsored public education system?

Ahhhhhh well...  Time will tell.

Department of Education.  No Child Left Behind.  Teaching to the test.

Somehow we have gone from #2 in the world to about #25 or #40, or something.  Since about 1978.  That would be about the time of the creation of the DOE by Jimmy Carter.  Or something.  (I'm making this shit up from memory right now.  Don't try to hold me to these ramblings if they are inaccurate.)

Anyway, I'm a bit rusty.  Forgive me.

Peace.

Still hanging in there...

Thanks to each of you who have left comments here or who have sent me emails.  I appreciate it.

Life is definitely different.

Easter is upon us.  Our favorite time of year.

Anyway...

Peace.

;)

I was real proud of that mustache, by the way...

Missing her...

She was my riding buddy.

It sometimes helps to just share these little memories of her.  My son took this picture of us on our Harley one day when we pulled into the yard at his older brother's house.

A new year...

Happy New Year.  I hope it is a good one.

I drove a few hours east with my middle son to see my grandsons for a few days.  Got back yesterday.  It was pretty good.   There is almost always a bit of drama on trips like this, and this one was no exception.  Still, in the end, it was good.

Anyway...

Peace.

Well...

Made it through Christmas.

I spent Christmas Eve at my oldest son and his family's house while they went to my daughter in law's father's house.  It was good.  They came home about 10 pm and we talked for a couple of hours then went to bed.

Spent Christmas Day with them and my middle son.  Big breakfast, presents, family time then lasagna for dinner.  It was good.

My only regret is that I didn't go to church on Christmas Eve.  Didn't want to go alone this year.  In hindsight I know it would have been fine.  The members of our church have been very supportive.

Ahhh well...

For everyone dealing with sadness, I pray for you to have the strength to persevere.

I hope everyone had as good a Christmas as possible.

Peace.

Merry Christmas...

As you can imagine, this Christmas is a bit different than the Christmas I'm used to.  I miss my Judy.  Words cannot describe that feeling, but I know that someday we will be together again.

I wish each and every one of you all the best at this most joyous time of the year.  God bless...

Peace.

It comes to fruition...

Watch out for these Lefties.  They are violent, unthinking animals.  They mindlessly follow the voices...  They are ignorant.

Like the Boy Scouts motto says...  Be Prepared.

20 July 2017

Some of you know, some of you don't...

My world was turned upside down and inside out on the 12th of April when my wife of 44 years passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.  She was barely 18, I was barely 19, when we married.

She was diagnosed with a UTI on Sunday the 9th at our local Urgent Care clinic.  On Tuesday the 11th she asked me to take her to the ER.  Mistakes were made, but she was sick.  She shouldn't be gone, but she is.  She passed at 1350 on the 12th of April.  I was with her every moment.  I have gone from being incredibly angry at the ER doc and his staff, to being incredibly sad.  The ER was a shit show from the time we arrived until they pushed her unconscious body to the ICU 3 hours later.  Perhaps someday I will share the story...

We should have had at least 20 more years together.

She was my best friend, my everything.  I love her more than life.

Anyway, for those who have asked where I am at, I am gone.  For now, anyway.  My fire is merely a few embers right now.
