This little snippet was posted over at Dave's website. A moment of clarity from someone on the outside looking in. Excellent.
"Sometimes people from outside our country see us better than we see ourselves. The following statement was translated from a Czech Republic newspaper editorial."
“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president.”
“The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”
A lot of logic in that statement.
Stay safe.

My daughter is currently with her Air Force husband stationed at a small base in Hungary. She see the same thing there. It amazes those folks, especially the ones from behind the old Iron Curtain, how we're throwing away what they so dearly want and appreciate.

That, sir, is the painful truth. If polling data is accurate, many of those that voted for the empty suit now very much regret doing so. Let us hope the polls are correct.
A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until a majority of voters discover that they can vote themselves largess out of the public treasury. – Alexander Tyler

The irony is this was used as the bases for the argument to set us up as a Republic and not a Democracy and we still fell into the trap, and I guess why Ben Franklin is reported to have said this:
Idleness and Pride Tax with a heavier Hand than Kings and Parliaments; If we can get rid of the former we may easily bear the Latter.
And this is attributed to him:
A lady asked Dr. Franklin Well Doctor what have we got a republic or a monarchy. A republic replied the Doctor if you can keep it.
