The sporadic musings of a middle aged man who isn't exactly happy with the direction America is taking today....
"The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not." ~~Thomas Jefferson
"Who will protect us from those who protect us?"
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. ~ Thomas Jefferson
"None are so hopelessly enslaved as those who falsely believe they are free." ~~Goethe

Remember them, also...
~~~~~~~
As an American fighting man, it is reasonable to expect that when your government puts you in harm's way, your government will have your back.
That's what the men fighting in Mogadishu thought. A promise had been made, then forgotten. Politics, ya know.
Then the men of Benghazi. Another Clinton... Not even an attempt to help. Politics.
I agree. I still get a tear in my eye thinking about the sacrifices of these men. I hope when Iran get the bomb they detonate the first one in D.C.
Yep. DC; no loss. It's the EMP they'll blow off that concerns me. But, to the original point: these men deserved better than they got. Our gov't has no problem forgetting those who fight for them. Ask the Battlin' Bastards of Bataan, the Korean War, and the Viet-Nam War to name a few ( and everything else inbetween) - as well as all the SOF who died in foreign lands for the ungrateful. SOF familes are notorious for getting screwed over because their Soldier died under "undisclosed circumstances" in places they weren't supposed to be. The gov't is indignant when called upon to fullfill a promise they never meant to keep or will fight hard to avoid making good. These days, you're on your own - only your fellow team mates have your back. Unless you're with Bergdahl.
