The grandaughter is about ready for a Cricket rifle, I think. She shoots her daddy's AR when we go to the range. Well, she shoots it with a little help. She's only 5 :)

Get her a Marlin. I showed Dixie the Cricket and the Marlin years ago, explained the difference in firepower, so she picked the Marlin. Seems like nobrainer to me also.

Well, the grandaughter got a six shooter and a pink camo patrol cap. She is now officially a bad-ass. It was good.

Those Marlins are sweet rifles, both the single shot and magazine fed versions. Problem is that everyone seems to be "out of stock" :)
Here you go, but unfortunately $206 from Bud's delivered. Dixie's was $89 with scope from Walmart, but that was quite a while ago.

A few years back, I was driving through Nebraska, and when I saw Cabela's, I decided to take a look.
But, as I walked through the door, they were closing.
John... I like Cabela's. Not necessarily their store branded stuff, but they have a lot of neat things. If you ever get the chance again... :)
