I believe that politicians believe whatever they feel they need to believe to try to make the voters believe that they really do believe it in order to get the votes that they believe they need to stay in power.
Situational beliefs, like situational morality and situational ethics, are the mark of a weak and dishonest person.
A society or segment of a society who are willing to believe without question what these politicians say, so that they might be elected or reelected, are just as bad as the politicians spewing the lies.
All politicians lie.

Nope. I can't include Ron Paul. I have to admit that there are a few honest politicians out there. And a few who want to be honest.
