I suppose that part of the reason I've never warmed to Trump is that I never heard him give any convincing reason for now being a republican much less a conservative other than that the Dems ticket was promised to Hillary and he wanted to run for president.
I don't think I missed some heartfelt personal "Come to Jesus" moment. I understand people who are stiff in Lesser-evil land, but what I really don't understand are the true believers of Trump.
I questioned his sincerity and motives, as you did, when he announced. I still think he is a Democrat, though closer to the center than Hillary.
What I personally like about Trump is the lack of elected political office in his background. Time to try something different, since what we currently endure isn't working. By any measure he has been a successful businessman. He has been a "producer" all his life. Politicians? Not so much. ;)
A true believer of Trump? Not a chance. LOL. The lesser of two evils and the opportunity to try something different. Absolutely. :)
We know without a doubt what we will get with Hillary, and it isn't pretty.
What concerns me the most about this election? The fact that the next President will probably nominate at least 4 Supreme Court Justices. The future of America, the continued existence of America, is truly in the balance.
