Now, if some in Washington have their way, the memories of the countless victims of communism will be remembered. Led by its courageous president, Jay Katzen, the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation (http://www.victimsofcommunism.org/) is seeking to erect a monument in D.C. dedicated to those who perished under Marxism's murderous reign. Their goal is to have the Memorial Monument built by October of next year. A monument is desperately needed because, sadly, communism's crimes risk being forgotten.
Read the rest here.
I thought that the above article was a good one. I don't think that their goal of a monument in D.C. was ever realized. Please correct me if I'm wrong on that. A "Victims of Communisim Memorial" in Washington D.C. seems somewhat ironic today, given the current state of affairs in this country.
I'd also ask why do we ignore the communist genocides of the 20th century? Not sure we even talk about the European genocide at the hands of Hitler in our schools. Must not fit the agenda, eh?
Communism always fails. What sort of mind is attracted to it in the first place? Those who don't want to fend for themselves? Those who are indoctrinated into it at school from kindergarten on?
Karl Marx
Frederick Engels
Vladimir Lenin
Josef Stalin
Mao Zedong
Pol Pot
Kim Jong il
Che Guevarra
Did I miss anyone?
These men are the heros of the Amerikan Left. Marxists. Socialists. Communists. Whatever you want to call them. Murderers, all.... Responsible for many millions of deaths in the last century. Modern Amerikan Leftists worship these men, yet they know nothing about them. They are driven by propaganda posters and slogans and lofty "workers paradise" speeches by their professors.
Our children are our future. What have we taught them?
Stay safe.

You missed Ho, ho ho---:)
Jim... He'll be included when he has a little more experience. ;)
Brock... OOPS!!!
Yes, you missed some that most people never associate with communism, however made the whole murderous system possible:
William Boyce Thompson - Chairman of the New York Fed. He gave the Bolsheviks a million dollars and also facilitated a "Red Cross Mission" to Russia comprising almost totally of Wall Street agents looking to take advantage of the crisis. The goal: using Marxism to collectivize the Russian people and being on top of this new command economy.
Lord Milner - who said:
Marx's great book Das Kapital is at once a monument of reasoning and a storehouse of facts.
--Lord Milner, member of the British War Cabinet, 1917, and director of the London Joint Stock Bank
Raymond Robins - a major facilitor the Red Cross mission and go between Wall Street and the Bolsheviks.
When Lenin was running low on $$$, Trotsky said they needed an organizer like Bernard Beruch, who would become an advisor to FDR and Wilson. He was a big time New York bankster and one-worlder, known as the Lone Wolf of Wall Street.
The Wall Street money men who salivated at the idea of a captive market, one where there would be no competition for them, used our own State Department to communicate and get export licenses to conduct trade with the Soviet Union, even though they were not officially recognized at the time.
Check out my blog sometime if you really think you can handle the truth and want to see the source material.
Communism is most certainly evil and as Jesus told us the "love of money is the root of all evil".
I forgot to mention a few that I just couldn't leave out:
"Whatever the price of the Chinese Revolution, it has obviously succeeded not only in producing more efficient and dedicated administration, but also in fostering high morale and community of purpose. The social experiment in China under Chairman Mao's leadership is one of the most important and successful in human history."
--David Rockefeller, August 10, 1973 in the New York Times
He made this statement after Mao murdered 60 million people!
David Rockefeller did his PhD dissertation on Fabian Socialism and is widely regarded as a "fabian". Yet I've heard "conservatives" herald him as some great champion of the free market. It's enough to make me want to puke.
How about our former National Security Advisor, Zbignew Brzezenski:
“I encouraged the Chinese to support Pol Pot. I encouraged the Thai to help the Khmer Rouge. The question was how to help the Cambodian people. Pol Pot was an abomination. We could never support him. But China could.”
--Zbigniew Brzezinski, 1979 as quoted in When the war was over: Cambodia and the Khmer Rouge Revolution by Elizabeth Becker
And of course we have the testimony of Norman Dodd who worked on the Reece Committee of 1952 to determine if communists were infiltrating America through the foundations:
According to Dood, Rowan Gaither, president of the Ford Foundation said..
."that most of the men who are now running the foundations, formerly worked for the State Department, the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Association, the Marshall Plan or other foreign relief agencies, and that in those capacities, they were working under instructions from the White House to bring about such sociological, economic, and political changes, as would make union with communist Russia easy and comfortable for the American people. Now, in the foundations, we are working toward the same objectives."
He said that the Ford Foundation operated under directives which "emanate from the White House," and that the "substance of the directives under which we operate is that we shall use our grant-making power so to alter life in the United States that we can be comfortably merged with the Soviet Union."
Coincidentally, Obama's mother worked in the Ford Foundation for Peter Geitner, Timothy Geitner's father. small world, eh?
A Victims of Communism Memorial should directly in front of the UN building, not in Washington D.C.
republicanmother... Thanks for sharing that information and your thoughts. Also, thanks for stopping by. :)
Jim... Excellent idea! Much more apporpriate.
Akmadinajad and the PLO thug Habbas are the new heroes at the UN and in Leftie minds...they can sure pick em!

Thanks for making me aware of the Victims of Communism site, brother. I'm adding it to my blog.
