Born 1944, dad TSgt in Army, uncle gunner on flattop. Grew up in postwar era. I remember the Korean war, the space race, the iron curtain, the Budapest uprising, Vatican II, etc., etc.My neighborhood, city, state, country are nowhere close to what they once were, when I as a 5-year-old could walk alone to kindergarten.TARFU.I'm glad I'm old and don't have a lot of time left.
Hans... are you sure those aren't ropes keeping the barn from falling over backward? ;)John... I found it on Fb. Glad you like it.Old Bob... I was born in 54. My dad was in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. The America I remember was certainly a whole lot different than it is today. I walked to kindergarten on the first day with the Maharry sisters. A fellow kindergartner and a second grader. It was quite a walk but, somehow, we survived...
