Civil:
1. of or relating to ordinary citizens and their concerns, as distinct from military or ecclesiastical matters.

2. courteous and polite.

Most def will I say the definition used here is 1.

This country is divided and polarized. Astonishingly it is mostly about interpretation of the US Constitution. This esteemed founding document should never be in contention. Yet not surprising it has become so precisely because the leftist love to redefine terms or even whole concepts.

With respect to the 2nd definition provided, such is the vehemence of the left that it is maddening to try reason, logic, or attempt to engage in civil discourse. The other day I got suckered in by a clever question. I thought they truly wanted information. Instead they had baited a trap. The clever part was they well disguised their question to seem as they wanted to clear up some confusion about a specific topic.

Soon it became apparent their real motive. They revealed that they will continue to vote for the anti-gun politician. The hypocritical well armed pol who tosses up all sorts of asinine bills that, given the majority vote, will pass into law but let it be dragged out in the courts. Meanwhile, even if it is ruled unconstitutional it remains in effect until court decision.

Speaking of the courts, too many judges are dead set against the USC. I am aghast. I should stop here before thy BP splodeth.

We very much are at war.

The Constitution says what it means and means what it says. Those that try to interpret it's meaning for their own "goals" will eventually find out (the hard way) that you should never piss on a flat rock. I may not be as young as I once was, but my eyes work great......
