Judy has been gone nearly 4 years. I think that by now we have all lost someone we love. Losing your spouse is especially painful. Losing your spouse suddenly and without warning is incredibly painful. Losing your spouse because someone was inept and made errors that should not have been made at that hour of that particular day is excruciating. When an ER doctor and his nurse are distracted by personal issues...
You relive those hours every single day.
We were married 44 years. We had plans.
But we learn to cope, to move forward. It doesn't get easier. It doesn't get better. It becomes more tolerable.
And sometimes something happens, or you see something, or smell something, or find something that makes you smile.
Judy has been gone nearly 4 years and I am still going through her things. For some people it is easy, for others, not so much...
Anyway, I was looking through some things this morning and found a couple of Judy's albums that hold pictures of our Grandkids. Grandmothers have a special bond with the children of their children.
The photos below brought a smile to my face. It was nice.
She wrote on the back of the top photo "the 3 stooges" I wonder what she meant by that? ;) August of 2005.
Anyway...
Peace

One of Life's Painful Lessons is finding people, places and things that make us happy and losing them, leaving a hole in our soul's fabric. Life can suck mightily. I am sorry for your loss and hope the 3 stooges are healthy and happy.
Anon... Thank you. Yes, those silly boys are healthy and happy. All grown up now.

Thanks, skybill... I am sorry for your loss, as well. Perhaps someday we will be able to share our "long stories"? It's what makes us human, our stories...
Stay bold.
Peace.
