Still, they persisted...

Actions have consequences. They knew in advance what those consequences would be. "Still, they persisted..."

I wonder if these 18 thought that the Left would hold them up high on a pedestal and support them like they supported the Senator from Massachusetts when she wrongly "persisted"?

What a misguided bunch of people, the Left.

The company's explanation for the terminations underscores something I've said before.

The job doesn't exist to employ someone.

The job exists to let the business produce its wares.

It does not belong to the employee and if the employee decides to stop doing it, why should the company continue to employ them?

100% agreement here. They knew what the consequences would be. That's life.

Welcome to the real world, Buttercup. Even in Germany, where Germans have 59 legal holidays and constant vacation, understand that if you want to protest, you do it on Samstag oder Sonntag. At least these 18 had the courage of their convictions - although they didn't know it at the time. They gave up their jobs to hug those who were "being treated wrongly".

The POTUS said he'd create jobs. These 18 just opened up 18 slots. Now, their ex-employer can celebrate "A Day Without Them" indefinitely. Maybe the people they were out "defending" will share their free shelter, food, and cell phones.

Irony abounds.
