This night...

On this night Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem.  There was no room at the inn...  You all know the story.  The night that led to the birth of our Savior...  The beginning of the life that ended in crucifixion on Calvary just a few short years later.  The beginning of the life that assures never ending life for Believers...

Merry Christmas to all of my friends.  And to all of the friends that I have not met yet.

Peace and love.

Car show...

My middle son and I rode down to Hopkinton, Iowa last Sunday for their annual "Hot Rods and Harleys" car show.  A good time.  It was 46 degrees when we left home for the 70ish mile ride.  A bit chilly, but not bad.  Had a couple of Bloody Marys at Wolfey's for breakfast, then tenderloins from the Hopkinton Lion's Club for lunch.  650 cars, trucks, and motorcycles were entered in the show.  They pretty much take over the entire town.  It was good.

My middle son has pretty much been my rock lately.  :)

I took a lot of pics.  I almost always do.  I like the old cars.  Memories.  Judy and I had a few fun cars over the years.  2 1955 Chevies, a '56 Chevy 1/2 ton, a '73 Mach 1, '71 and '73 Dusters, an '81 Citation X-11, etc.  She would have enjoyed this show.  She would have said "lets build one".  I would have said "how 'bout we build another Harley?".  I miss her.  ;)

There was a band called "Hot Mess" playing at the show.  Kind of a country rock band.  Local.  They were pretty good.

So, yeah...  That's what I've been up to.

And building another rifle.  Remington 700 Tactical in .308.  Bell & Carlson, Timney, Harris, Wyatt's, SWFA, etc.  I have one in .223 exactly like it with the exception of a black stock rather than O.D.

And taking a friend 70 miles last night to look at a motorcycle.  She bought it.

Politics?  Not today.  Way too much hate out there.  I'm into peace and love at the moment.  ;)

Until the next time...

Peace.

Alive and well...

Thanks to the folks who have contacted me.  I'm good.

Sometimes I fail to follow my own advice...

I'm waiting on my contractor to come measure my kitchen window so he can replace it with a modern vinyl window.  ;)  Ahhhhh well...

Peace.

Secret plots...

And... we made it to Saturday.

Who will be the next President of these United States?    I'm guessing Trump will be out.  Conservatives don't have what it takes to keep him in office.  A lot of talk, not much action.  Kinda like America's gun owners...  Zilch.

Mayor Pete is Gay.  That will get him elected.  Kamala Harris is a "Minority" female.  She is also an anchor baby.  Both of her parents were foreign nationals living here when she was born.  "Natural Born Citizen"?  I suspect that there will be a fight and the Supremes will be forced to finally weigh in.  Hopefully logic will prevail...

Anyway...  Pete.  I know nothing about him other than he is a politician and a hypocrite like so many others...

I don't really care who he sleeps with, is married to, holds hands with, etc. ...  Just know that he is gay and that will get him elected.  Like obama looking black got him elected.  It's those kind of things that give the Democrats the warm fuzzies.  Appearances, not substance.  Nothing more, nothing less.

That's why they hate Trump.  He is creating and succeeding at real Hope and Change.  It isn't even his slogan, but it's what he created.  But he needs to get control of his mouth and act a bit more "Presidential", in my opinion.

Anyway, tomorrow is Easter.  He is risen.

Peace.

Good Friday. Peace.

He did not go easy.  He suffered greatly. For you and for me.

Regardless of calendar dates, the Easter season has great significance to me.

There is, of course, the celebration of the crucifixion and the resurrection of Christ.  What we call Easter.  Kind of a big deal in the Christian world.  In the entire world, really.  :)  The promise of eternal life.  Take a minute and give it some thought.  Could you give your child to die?  Could you bear that cross yourself, and hang until the end?

Beyond that, my youngest son was born on Good Friday of 1983.  And my wife died on Wednesday of Holy Week, Holy Wednesday, two years ago.  April 12th, 2017.

Anyway, all my love to all y'all...

Peace.

Not Arson...

I couldn't bring myself to post yesterday.  Too much other shit going on...

Macron said it wasn't arson.  That, while the fire was still burning.  Macron.  He's some kind of fire investigator.  Or something.

Any fire anywhere would justify a real investigation.  A fire of this scale would take weeks, or months, to investigate properly.  A building on the scale of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris Fucking France burning doesn't justify an investigation?

President Macron said it wasn't arson.  Even after arson claimed 12 churches in France in the past couple of months.  Even while the fire was still burning.

Does anyone else find that a bit odd?

Perhaps he'll run for President of the US in 2020.  The American Democrats would believe him.  They are gullible.  Or something.  I know that the rules wouldn't allow it.  Kamala Harris probably doesn't qualify either, but no one from either side is questioning her bid...  Both of her parents were foreign nationals when she was born here.  Anchor baby.  Not natural born citizen.  Maybe.  But the Dems will scream loud and long, calling everyone who disagrees "White Supremacists".  "Racist" is worn out.  It doesn't sting like it did.  The Supremes are going to have to clarify the rules once and for all one of these days.  Some other rules need clarification as well...  ;)

Anyway...

For those who do not understand...

Man up...

Her name is Pretty...

This little girl...

She keeps me sane.

An 11 year old spayed Himalayan.  Seven and a half pounds of cuddle bug.  She is the Queen of the house.  She is in charge.

Her name is Pretty.

She gets along quite well for her age.  Himalayans typically live about 15 years.  She is happy and healthy.  Hoping for more than 15 :)

She isn't quite "perfect".  She has a black ear and a brown ear.  And she doesn't cover her poop.  But she poops in the box.  Her Ruff is kinda rough but she lets me comb it.

And she has only two teeth left.  Lower canines.  Quite common with the breed.  She gets by.

And she has an orange nose.  And she sneezes a lot.  I rub her nose because it helps keep her sinuses clear.  She appreciates it.

She loves me.  I love her back.

She reaches her paw out and holds my hand.  She bumps my nose.

I scratch her.

She's a shedder.

Anyway...

Happy Day.

So begins the season...

Actually, in the end, man is quite insignificant...

Peace.
