Healthcare...

Another from David P.

"A remarkable quote from president's speech last week further underscores the bankruptcy of progressivism. After once again blaming everyone else for the debacle of the website's rollout, he said something that should stun every American. 'What we're also discovering is that insurance is complicated to buy.' Obama and Democrats concoct a 2000 page healthcare bill and another 11,000 pages of regulations that apply to it, and the president is just now discovering that buying insurance is complicated? A gargantuan case of hubris, coupled with stunning level of ignorance about how the real world works, is the essence of progressivism. ... Are you aware of that fact that even if this disaster comes to full flower, the Congressional Budget Office projects that 32 million people will still be uninsured ten years from now, even as an additional $1.8 trillion will be spent by the federal government to achieve that result? How come our progressive champions never mention that reality? Because, in the end, what's going on isn't really about healthcare. It's about control. And if 32 million people are left out in the cold? So what."

Then consider these thoughts:

Today, the person with private insurance can choose to go with another insurance company when / if they are treated badly by their insurer. But when its the government has the policy - HOW DO YOU DO THAT ?

Decide not to pay them - hah, they got that covered, IRS just goes in and takes 'your contribution' for them, no fuss, no muss.

When / if the government insurer decides to cut benefits across the board (to avoid any issue of 'unfair'), HOW DO YOU ARGUE WITH THEM ?

And lastly ...

If there is another government sequester, will the government insurance branch be allowed to run or will it be shutdown as well. Imagine being in doctor's office or hospital waiting for that to play out.

I guess the government already has this figured out, so I guess the above is already taken care of . . .

Here is another aspect of this medical/insurance debacle. My husband brought up the idea that there will be an outbreak of personal bankruptcies because people who need medical NOW and are caught in between having any insurance are going to rack up so many huge medical bills that they will have to file bankruptcy. That will also add to the woes of our economy.

Anon 12:22... Yep, I'm sure the government has it all figured out. Though it looks like the Dems are starting to get called out on their lies, whatever good that might do. They ALL lie.

Miss V. ... I kinda thought that might be you :)

I don't know how anyone (young people who are being targeted to purchase insurance. That's who they NEED in the pool, the people who pay premiums but don't file claims) is going to be able to afford to buy an "affordable" insurance plan with a high deductible and then pay all of their own medical bills because they never satisfy the deductible.

Fuck obama.
