Veterans Day...

~~~~~~
My first duty station was with the 3rd AD in Germany.  1972-1975.  After that it was Fort Hood, Texas.  720th MP Battalion, III Corps.  1975-1976. I hated the stateside Army.  Back to Germany 1976-1979.  56th FA Brigade. (PERSHING).  Interesting times.
The pleasure was all mine. I'd do it again in half a heartbeat.
Pershing... you had to be there, I guess. ;) Heady times, for sure.
Six... Yeah. You know what I'm talking about. :)
Grog... Salute!
Berlin Brigade, 40th Armor, '76-'79, then Ft. Carson in CO. Got on with civilian life after that. I was lucky enough to never hear a shot fired in anger.
The Berlin Wall, East Germany, and 40th Armor all all gone now.
Highest regards and sincere, if belated thanks, to you all. I couldn't have fought my way through the Chinese National Guard ;)
My first duty station was 3rd ID, vilseck GE, then to A Co USAG, as an MP in San Antonio, LOL almost like we took parallel tracks! I couldn't stand the State side Army either.
