The sporadic musings of a middle aged man who isn't exactly happy with the direction America is taking today....
"The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not." ~~Thomas Jefferson
"Who will protect us from those who protect us?"
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. ~ Thomas Jefferson
"None are so hopelessly enslaved as those who falsely believe they are free." ~~Goethe

Yeh, Brother. I keep thinking about how hings have come full circle. Forty-five years ago, it was the hippies singing these songs about us. Now it's us singing these songs about them. I wonder when we're gonna get conservative version of Kent State. Will Neil Young make a million bucks off of the royalties from that song?
A conservative version of Kent State... That is an interesting concept. I can't imagine "Mr Young singing" about it. ;)
I think (true patriot) Conservatives would probably respond differently to a similar event than the Liberals did to the Kent State "massacre". Yeah, I remember it being called that on the news :) I was all in tune with what was going on in Viet Nam, so the Kent State thing kinda surprised me. (I was 16 years old with my country fighting a war that would never end and I just knew I was going to be drafted in 72) I was too focused on the consistent and was surprised by the anomaly. I'm old. LOL.
