I think it is a generational thing where many of the people in controlling positions are set on destroying and tearing apart the achievements of the previous generation who built up the prosperity of the 40s - 60s. It makes no logical sense for them to do so it is almost destined like goats tearing up a brand new goat house and having to stand in the rain as a result. The hope is in the next generation that will hate the destructive ones and build it all back again. Lucky if you live at the right time I guess.
Liberals fail to think things through to their logical conclusion. They don't think beyond tomorrow and they don't think beyond self...
