People believe that this circus is some sort of legal proceeding that will result in punishment of the selected offenders by the committee. It is none of that. But! Information gleaned by this committee is being used to persecute and prosecute others. The FBI and other law enforcement agencies are throwing their nets out and using "evidence" from this circus as probable cause to go after mostly innocent protestors. The sole purpose of this charade is to strike fear into the hearts of any non-leftist who would advance against the government. And people are too fucking stupid to see this for what it is. How did we get so stupid? And you are right... the next obvious physical attempt at overthrowing the government will be by the Left. They started trying in earnest with the election of obama. They didn't try to hide their attempts at overthrowing a sitting President when they went after Trump, even publicly on election night of 2016 when Pelosi responded to the question of "what if you can't control him?". Her response was "well, we may have to consider impeachment". If you were paying attention you realize that the consideration had already been made... it was a done deal. They tried to overthrow Trump before Day 1. They continue today. They have no consideration for the 50% of the American people who voted for him to be their President. They simply don't care. I had notification from Blogger that a post I published has been removed for violating "Community Standards".  They sent me a link to those community standards, but I have no idea whatsoever which post was removed.

Anyway.

I have a lot to say, a lot of thoughts.  Like I told my brother, I go from being terrified to publish to feeling defiant, in the blink of an eye.  This is no way to live.

These truly are troubling times.  We have seen these things before in history, and a lot of folks here in the blogosphere have been predicting something like this for many years.

Our friends on the Left are getting very good at propaganda and are apparently getting quite good at the visual production that enhances it.  I think 'ol Joe's speech was unprecedented, both in his words and in the visual production.  

You have to ask, "who is really behind 'ol Joe?", because if this were all 'ol Joe, his Leftist colleagues would be trying to stop his inflammatory rhetoric before he got them into trouble.  They aren't.  That means that it is accepted and approved.  Some say that obama has his hand up Joe's ass making his mouth move.  Ok.  Who controls obama?

A lot of talk about Liz...

 ...most of it is words put together to support the narrative of one side or the other.

I'm not surprised.

Simply put, America has been watching.

The Left threatened to impeach President Trump on election night 2016 when Pelosi was asked "What will you do if you can't control him?"  She seemed surprised by the question.  Her response was what appeared to be words regurgitated from an alcoholic stupor... "Well, I guess we'll have to consider impeaching him".

Non-Leftists were listening.

Then on the day in early January 2017 when US Representatives were sworn in, Freshman Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib infamously said when asked about President Trump (a man who wouldn't even be inaugurated for over two weeks yet)... "We'll impeach the motherfucker" 

Non-Leftists heard you, Ms. Tlaib.

Then we had 2 summers of riots.  Progressives burning cities and killing people.   Some of our elected representatives actually came out in support of the rioters and did little to stop it.   

Non-Leftist America watched.

2 impeachments of the President.  Refusal of congress to work with him.

Non-Leftist America noticed.

The Left actively tried to overthrow a sitting US President for 4 years.  And when President Trump lost his 2020 bid to be reelected, the Non-Leftists went to DC to protest.  It was their right to do so.

And Nancy Pelosi and the Leftists made that protest into something that it never was.  It was never a riot.  It was never a coup attempt.  It was never an attempt to overthrow the government.

It was simply none of those things.

And Nancy created her January 6th Committee.  And she wanted Republicans to be part of the Committee in order to give the illusion of bipartisanship.  But she only wanted Republicans who agreed with her, Republicans who were Anti-Trump.

And she got Liz.  And Liz became the face of Anti-Trump Republicans.

Non-Leftists understand that the Left has been trying since Day One to overthrow the government duly elected by the People, in order to continue with their Progressive politics and policies.

That is why Liz Cheney lost her bid for reelection in yesterday's Wyoming primary.  Because people have been paying attention.

I've said it a hundred times... I'm no Trump fan.  He is a buffoon who doesn't know how to act "Presidential".  But!  I think he was much better than anything the Leftists had to offer.  He is a better choice than anything the Left has to offer today.  He is an outsider, a non-politician, if that is possible.  He did the things he said he'd do... Drain the Swamp.  Well, he didn't drain it, but he certainly exposed it to anyone who is paying attention.

And because he is us, we were treated poorly by the Leftists for the past 5 1/2 years.  I hope the Left is buried at mid-terms.  They are Un-American.  They have proven it every day for the last 5 1/2 years through their treatment of Trump, and by extension, their treatment of us.  And it didn't start with their hatred of Trump, it simply intensified.  The Left became the Party of Hate during the administration of Bush II, in my opinion.  And they got really ugly during the obama administration.  

Anyway. as far as Liz Cheney... She did it to herself.  She was simply not a voice of Republican reason.  Or whatever they called her.  I don't know her motivations for becoming Anti-Trump.  She was one of those Republicans who originally supported him.  She has higher aspirations.  

I think it's going to be difficult for Cheney to run for President as an Anti-Trump Republican.  Who knows? Perhaps that's the winning combination?

 I surf the news a lot.  Left, Right, Center.

I can't help wondering how one decides which news sources/stories to believe these days. If I were to guess, I'd have to say that it's likely based on preexisting personal political ideology. I can't find anything to legitimize the possibility that it's anything more or less than that.

How should we look at the day's events?

IGNORE all of the conjecture, unsubstantiated facts/evidence, news and social media, opinions, etc.? Look at the few facts that are substantiated and start connecting the dots? Ask yourself what that logical process leads you to believe [without outside interference], and that becomes your truth until more substantiated facts/evidence comes out?

Maybe?

I don't know.

Another thing... It seems like a lot of speech from the Right is being identified as "extremist speech" or "hate speech" or "supremacist speech".

What's going on here? I really have this bad feeling that the folks who disagree with anything involving the Leftists are being identified and watched. I think it is a concerted, planned effort to discredit anyone who believes differently than the Left. Am I paranoid? :)

We all know.

Regardless of the number of times the Second is re-interpreted to satisfy the political desires of the day, it still means that the government has no business trying to regulate, codify, or control in any way, the private ownership and possession of firearms.  Period.  

The one caveat that I believe most gun owners would agree with is that there are some people who simply should not have access to firearms, in most cases.  The identification of those people has to be determined very narrowly and very carefully.  

Anyway, it's Amerika 2021.  It's all talk.  Those in power will do what they want.  No one will stop them.  They have already stated that they are willing to crush democracy in order to "save democracy".  Democracy as defined by... them.

When Ernie told me a few months ago that tax stamps were being approved for suppressors in well under 90 days if you used the new Form 4 E file system, I said OK, I want another Sparrow.  Gonna put it on a pistol.

They were all coming back to his shop in 81 to 85 days.  They still are.  

Except mine, apparently.

We're currently sitting at 100 days.

I realize that 100 days is considerably less than the 400+ days that it took to approve tax stamps for my last two suppressors, and it is still less than the just shy of 400 days for the one prior to that.

Still...

Others, all others, at Ernie's shop are coming back approved in well under 90 days.  All of them.  

I tell myself that it's just a bump, nothing weird going on.  It isn't me, it's the examiner.  If it were disapproved, I should know in the same 90 days, right?  ;)  It's the ATF, right?  lol

Anyway.

Ernie will probably call me tomorrow to come pick it up.

What the fuck is going on?  

It's behavior like that which is currently being exhibited by the Left that causes people to wonder "how far are these people willing to go to prevent Trump being President again?". 

Because seriously, that's what this is about.  Not allowing the outsider in again.  

 Will they lie? Will they lie under oath? 

Will they manufacture evidence? 

 Will they jail indefinitely those people whom they want to testify against Trump, without charges and without trial? Will they create the testimony that these jailed persons will be required to present as their own, under oath? 

Will they threaten to make these jailed people disappear if they don't testify the way they are told to?

All in the name of trying to present a credible case to the voters justifying their cancellation of Donald Trump? 

How far will they go?

I believe that the Left is playing a very dangerous game. I believe that they just crossed the line.

This is the stuff of mid-twentieth century dystopian fiction.  This is insane.

How does the Left win?

$45.2 million on top of $4.1 million for publicly expressing one's personal opinion.  And hurting someone's feelings.    

I'm not an Alex Jones fan.  But...

OTOH, he made a lot of money perpetuating the "Sandy Hook was a hoax" narrative.  A judge and jury just took that money from him.  

"Reasonable" people see Alex Jones and people like him as entertainers with a voice.  Reasonable people ignore people like Alex Jones when what he says is so obviously hyperbolic that it can't possibly be true.  Turn around, walk away...  I'm not sure that what's happening to Mr. Jones now is reasonable.  

Whether we like it or not, they just threw cold water on the ability to speak what you believe.  Or to say the things that make you money.

I suspect that some judge somewhere will overturn these awards.  

My mind is reeling.  This is insanity.  Almost $50 million to one set of parents because Alex Jones called Sandy Hook a hoax.  

Maybe I'm seeing this wrong?

Watch how the January 6th "investigation" was conceived and has grown.  

If the Left wins in November, we're fucked.  

If they lose in November, these games that they are playing are setting precedent regarding how to deal with them.  How to deal with people protesting for their cause.  How to deal with political opponents we don't like.  'ol Joe will be impeached, Hunter will be prosecuted, blah blah blah.  Surely the Left understands that?  They can't be so nearsighted that they believe no one else will do these things, given the opportunity?  They aren't pursuing the American citizens involved in the January 6th protests with such vigor in order to get justice.  They are doing it to crush all opposition to the advancement of their Leftist ideology.   They are doing it to make people fear opposing them in the future.

People better start getting their heads out of their asses most rickety-tick.  

Anyone who believes that the Left is just practicing "business as usual" is almost too stupid to fathom.  The rules have changed, they are changing by the minute.  No one is going to stop this "peaceful" overthrow of democracy by the Left.  It's done.

The current Leftist catch phrase is "we have to do this to save Democracy".

So many Leftists are saying it that one has to believe it is scripted.

There is nothing democratic about the Leftists' attempts to cancel Trump, Republicans, and anyone else who doesn't agree with them.

Propaganda Defined...

I believe that the Democrats are doing a hell of a job propagandizing January 6th.  

It started with Nancy quietly slipping the words "insurrection" and "coup" into the subconscious minds of the public and then running with them the moment she was sure that the media and her fellow Leftists believed that narrative and would be willing to regurgitate it.  

Then refusing to allow Republicans to be on the committee unless she was 100% certain that they would tow the Leftist line.  "If you don't agree with me, there is no place on my committee for thee".  Not very democratic.

Now we have the "produced for prime time" televised hearings.  The hearings are obviously scripted and well-rehearsed.  And there is no credible Conservative to provide an honest counterpoint.  It isn't allowed.

These people have propaganda sewn up better than Goebbels had it in the Reich...  They are experts, and it's working, with very few exceptions.

How do we fix this?  How do we not lose our Republic to the Leftists?  How do we relearn that we are all Americans and that we are in this together?  

It would be difficult to argue that either Party has the best interests of The People as their priority.  This is 100% Nancy Pelosi going after Donald Trump.

How did politicians become so powerful?
